Well if this keeps up much longer there will be no more players left on Draenor.
I just gave up on playing on Draenor untill the problem is solved.

Logging in is a challenge on it's own at the moment, but it's nice to see we're getting good feedback. At least we know now that Blizzard is working on it =)

Q u o t e:

This particular problem started following the maintenance (and extended maintenance) yesterday.

Ah, and the "particular" problems we've experienced since the launch of this game has all been from diffrent reasons EVERY SINGLE TIME WITH THE SAME SYMPTOMS?

Color me stupid but I just don't buy that crap.

But thanks for responding anyway :P

Thungbot, quick question. You mentioned before about there being a hardware fault, can you confirm if this hardware is being replaced with something shiny and new, i think that would go some way to reasuring players on Draenor that Blizzard are actually prepared to spend hard cash to sort this out.

I checked the uptime and population graph for the last 24 hours, and it's not pretty. If you're telling me yesterday's issues have affected Draenor continually since launch I believe you simply do not fully know the issues Draenor has suffered the last 24 hours.

Basically, I'm not saying the realm doesn't have issues on a regular basis (nor am I saying that it does - I don't have enough data for either), only that yesterday's issues is something else entirely.

Hardware will be replaced if it's needed. It would probably be scheduled for a maintenance though, unless it's in critical condition.

I don't suppose you could publish the uptime and population graph for Draenor covering the last 3 months and compare it with ANY other EU Server for us ?

Also, can you explain why the days exempt awarded to players on Draenor differ so much ? The last time my account was credited with 1 Day Exempt was 23/09/2006 where others have told me they received an additional 3 or 4 days since then ? Why is that ?

Thankyou for the blue posts - Thundgot.

Our technical team has located a hardware problem affecting Draenor, and we're working with our hosting provider to have this corrected as soon as possible.

I am becoming more and more frustrated with the serviceability of Draenor. For me the enjoyment is being removed by the constant lag and connection problems; even server restarts only improve conditions for about 5 mins before lag sets back in or you are dc. I feel that there is so much effort placed upon creating newer realms and instances (and decorating the villages with seasonal items) that the maintenance has slipped by the wayside...or at least thats what i feel. When listening to general and trade channels there is large amount of dis-satisfied players that want to know exactly what is wrong and what is being done to correct it and will Draenor be off-line for any time. I have started my xmas holiday to try and level my character in order i can partipicipate in the BC when it comes on line. With Xmas holidays about to start and plenty of people trying to level before the BC i think there are going to be a considerable amount of frustrated players....i am one. Apologies for the war and peace but i am a frustrated player.

Its not that they have affected Draenor continually. It is more that after each major patch (more specifcally the last two or three) Draenor has had the same issue of major lag and being logged out, back to the character select screen at entirely random intervals.

When patch 2.0 was released, I was not suprised to find that Draenor was the only server offline when I got home from work. I was also not suprised at the unscheduled reboots of the server.

I play on two other servers, Talnivarr and Silvermoon, No problems whatsoever. The only time I remember a problem with Talnivarr is a power failure but we were informed of this and it was excepted by the players.

The performance of this server really needs to be addressed but the worst part of it is the poor customer service.

If you believe an issue will take at least 24 hours to fix, then tell us, your customers that it will take 48 hours to fix. Then, if it takes 30 hours to fix, you have given us an extra 18 hours playtime we thought we had lost.

The above of course is just a very basic example but I believe that the Blizzard EU customer service department needs new management or at the very least, a DRASTIC makeover!

What OS and hardware are the WoW servers running on? Are there differences in hardware between other servers and Draenor??

Maybe they run it on Blizzard-OS, wich is an optimized version of NT 4.0, because that would explain a lot :D

So once again draenor unplayable for 2 days now. Just logged off trying to send stuff to bankchar but hey guess what he is unfriendly. Way to go.
FFS this is just a maintenance . I shiver for next major patch and tbc tbh. Probably draenor will be online when every player on other realms have like 2 l70 chars.
If this is a hardware trouble why you just don't replace the piece like every person with some common sense would do, beats me.
Well i really wanna see some compensation for this and don't come over with an extra day or some rested xp. Draenor people suffered enough and deserve some real compensation for sticking up with all this.

but thx for keeping us informed

My +4250 hours of Draenor gameplay > your graphs ;)

At any rate, everyone on Draenor has suffered the symptoms before, be it "disconnecting" aka being kicked to charselection screen on login or shortly after login, the incredible world lag which results in forced resurrections because your corpse is nowhere to be find (usually beneth the world).

And again, Draenor has "suffered" alot since launch, we were all very giddy about the new and shiny (and the extended maintenance that came with it) hardware we got a few months back, but alas... Draenor is either cursed or the world hates everyone on Draenor.

And unplayable minutelong lag and constant disconnect (either to Char selection or full server kick) is imho, critical.

At any rate, what is the point of Draenor players buying/installing/getting TBC if the server is in this state (or it's always been, it feels like), TBC will surely bring up the load on the whole server park (I know it's not one, but still) by 1-3 times atleast?
