I only logged on my hunter after a year to get him one level and tame the pet, I found that I liked survival in pvp too (go figure).

But taking away the worgen has taken away my motivation, if he becomes unusable as a pet in combat situations I will likely go back to my death knight.

I never stopped playing the account, just the character.

the rest of my characters and friends are horde side which took away all incentive to play this guy.

Sure enough, I understand that the Worgen was an unintended tameable pet, but I still think having him made useless for hunters that have him was way too harsh.

P.S. = Im still hoping for playable Worgen, so *crosses fingers to point of fracturing* heres hoping!

right ok ive calmed down a bit now, begining to think (hoping like hell) that they will keep him in mainly cos they left in the others and more to the point they cant just leave a pointless creature sitting there, can they?

I hope they cant...
and i think they wont, coz previous ones are working (slime, ghostwolf etc)

I personally dont get, they didnt take away the ooze, ghost wolf or other 'bug' pets, so why take away this one? No harm could possibly come out of letting hunters keep these awesome pets, its so typical of blizzard to make a decision which no one benefits from.
Its so rare that hunters get any joy out of pets nowadays, it would be a crime to take this away from them.
Blizz, open your eyes! Start treating your 10-pounds-a-month subscribers well, or believe me, they will leave!

Don't twist my words, I enjoy hunter but taking away the worgen pet has sapped my motivation.

(as is evidenced by me entertaining Trolls on the hunter forum)

I have to agree with this also. My hunter has sat at level 70 for countless months, yet having the Worgen pet actually motivated me to level. Now that it's no more than a rather large vanity pet, I dare say my hunter will be relegated back to 10 minute levelling bursts every other month.

Not that any of that matters on the grand scale of things, but that is how this particular "fix" sits with me at least.

As I said in another thread, I guess that Oozes belong to the Crocolisk family of the hunter pets...

I dont get why they cannot allow a werewolf to be treated like a wolf pet, but they can allow an ooze and a ghost hydra to be crocolik hunter pets!

I tamed the ooze and hydra aswell ( got rid of the hydra because of the annoying sound ) but i still got the ooze .
they fixed that also very fast and let us keep it, those who had it, think they will have to do the same thing with the worgen.

Only thing we can do is wait and hope we can keep it

never had a pet thats gone through this before, did they take away its stuff too?

Please tell me that the hunters that went and spent the time and effort to get the worgen get to keep it and the ability to feed him and sort talents are brought back. I would hate to see the work i put in to getting him to have been all for nought
