Actually it isn't.

The worgen is the ultimate badass pet, he's miles behind badass than Gondria.

As we're sure you know, taming this NPC is unintended and a hotfix will address this. As for the future of tamed worgen, nothing has yet to be decided. The matter is being discussed and if we have something to share about the future of these pets, we will endeavour to do so.

Ah a blue post on this. I hope you guys decide to let us keep em was quite a mission to tame him took me a whole sunday afternoon. What would be cool maby is make him a exotic pet. That would be fair in my eyes and i will respec just to keep him.

Let there be light and there i was

Well concider this, if people are rewarded with an awesome pet because they are quest slacking, it that something Blizzard wants? If so, how many hunters do you think wants to complete any quest in the future that contains a pet? I wouldnt for sure. I say make the pet tamable for all hunters or completely remove it from the game, orelse this gives a signal to the Hunter community not complete any quest in the future that contains a pet and has a taming bug possability that can be exploited.

Too bad, tbh. There should always be unusual and hard to get items, even if they are only for the looks. It brings variation and challenge to the game, showing a bit of person's skill and dedication along the way.

Well thats fair enough but.............if this means the already tamed ones are reverted to normal wolves then I would assume the Spirit Wolves etc will get the same treatment.

It's not the same really, every hunter could tame a spirit wolf as soon as they knew about it, quite fair. But this worgen can only be tamed by those who didnt do the quest and if its allowed it means - DONT FINISH ANY QUESTS IN THE FUTURE THAT CONTAINS A PET WITH A POSSABILITY TO TAME!

better to make it untameable and the ones that are tamed changed to a normal white wolf
as for the whole worgen , not tameable even as an exotic pet

Exactly, if game bug exploits are premiered with an awesome pet - who would wanna finish any quest that involves a pet in the future with a possability to exploit a bug? Does Blizzard wants us not to finish quests? I think not.

As I see it Blizzard can to 3 things:

1. Let hunters that didnt finish the quest keep the pet and by that state: - dont finish any quests in the future that has a pet in it with a possability of a bug you can exploit.

2. Let all hunters get it and by that state - this was a clever use of game mechanics, in all fairness even those who did the quest should be able to tame the pet.

3. Remove the pet from all hunters an by that state: - this game isn't about seeking out and exploiting bugs.

How I see it, they should let you hunters keep it.

Ok it's listed as a humanoid (well Worgens are), but to be fair it is part Wolf and in my opinion it is more of a beast than the vareity of ghost animals floating around. Not to mention the slime!

Go on Bliz, let the lucky few keep the little fella. It looks, moves and sounds like a wolf/monkey combo anyway...

An idea to fix this whole situation without pissing people with or without a worgen (or the ability to tame one) off, would be to add the worgen skin as a minor glyph that changes the appearance of your tamed wolf pet into a worgen. That way everyone who wants one can have a worgen pet. And before people go "yeah but everyone and their granny will run around with one", true, but most hunters I see use one pet type already, the wotlk wolf in brown/white/black/grey colour.

Quest slacking? So just because some people went to Borean Tundra, and then to Dragonblight, they are quest slacking? Interesting choice of words there :P

Lets then say some hunters want do do all the quest achievements including "touring the fjord" and "nothing boring about borean", bad idea if you want a cool pet! If Blizz didnt want people to do as many quests as possible and reward people for it - that would contradict the whole idea of this game. That and to reward people seeking out and exploiting bugs!

Regardless of whether we'll be able to keep the pet or not, I just wanted to say that taming it was immense fun and - at least for me - brought back the pleasure of dealing with unique pets. I've not felt the thrill since I tamed Humar a loooong time ago when he was still quite rare.

It's a great pet. I had a fantastic time taming it and helping other hunters (incl. Alliance ones).

Let us keep it, please. /howl
