Interesting.
Not sure if I would want to change this character or not, I've always wished I had made a Tauren Warrior but I've grown to love this guy.

I just wet myself but that was before seeing that so *shrug*
1. Will it change you in the way the orb of faction shiftyness does ie Human -> Orc and so on. And if this is the case, what would happen with Draenei warriors as there are no blood elf ones?
2. Do we get to choose which race. If so will there be a race change option for horde to horde and alliance to alliance? This service won't be used a great deal if the player has no say which race he/she gets to play.
3. Class change. Might as well (time restrictions 3-6 months per, once per server or something). MIght as well get it all sorted and out of the way now tbh.
4. Mounts. Will mounts be force changed to opposing factions versions. If so, what about old school mounts. I wouldn't want to do this if my old school horde got turned into a bog standard wolf or even and old school wolf? I would want it to remain how it is as it's an achievment and all.
5. All honour/rep and other currency going to be the same on both sides (obviously some difference due to different rep factions on the two sides)?
If my old school mount goes with me, I'm all for this. If not then meh, I care not.

Q u o t e: in response to player requests
Player requests? You mean those lazy casuals who whine about everything and cry if they cannot get what they want? That they actually have to spend time to achieve something?

I'm not against this idea at all. Its just a question where Blizzard will stop.
I think they killed diablo2 with purchasable epics with real money, so I doubt they would ever do that (I might be wrong, its been a while)
I hope the horde side doesn't completely disappear on my server though. But I doubt that will happen.
I think this is not a bad idea, especially when many players asked for it. But it has to stop somewhere.

It is a great change most people just want to tear, some people have understandable reasons but unlikely to care enough or lazy to express them.
Yes this being a paid change is in the best interest of average Joe regardless of QQ's.

Q u o t e: no please don`t. :(
faction/gender change doesn`t fit in world of warcraft
Our credit card numbers into their accounts does fit though :)
I'd actually love this becuase I've got an Alliance rogue, druid and this priest. Whilst my mains now are horde and all my new alts are horde. So i'd love to change my druid and rogue to horde. Saves me levelling up. Wonder how it will work. Like the pvp rank titles, alliance/horde only rep. Items only obtained from alliance quests. Etc. Would be fun seeing Horde players suddenly running around with alliance pvp armour.

Tigole, where are you? You turn your back for another project and these contractors you have looking after your game are ruining it. Please Tigole, come back from the "unannounced MMO" :(:(.

Q u o t e: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Blizzard, you've forgotten the RPG element!
The biggest part of the RPG is roleplaying a character! Slowly, step by step, you are making it possible to completely rewrite the genetics, history and attitude of your character after its creation.
THIS IS RETARDED AND STUPID IN AN RPG ENVIRONMENT. We're supposed to grow our characters and become attached to their strengths as well as their flaws rather than just changing completely whenever we feel we have a flaw.
Blizzard... please revoke this feature immediately. It kills the sense of achievement that the game has fed on for countless of years!
