It wasn't technical enough. It didn't address our in-depth PvE or PvP issues, except totem stomping, and even that was vague.

Agree.. Also when he discussed the roles - he basically said nothing.. He said he wanted all specs to be competetive .. WOAH that was unexpected .. i mean that was just stupid..

As previous poster said, no in depth responses.. i will say the 4 totems at once will be nice, but they said they would fix totems already back in tbc, and nothing ever happened..

The only 2 things we actually got from the Q&A, was - in patch 3.2 we will get our currently lower base health increased.. and "in the future" we will get all 4 totems in 1 gcd somehow..

Basically he could've have written:
In respons to the questions regarding "insert random problem", we will be sure to analyse the problem further and perhaps fix it in a future patch.

The Q&A lacked substance. If they had given true answers, even if I didn't like them, I would've accepted them. Instead they came in to tell Shamans how they evolved (or rather, didn't) over time. Yeah no @%*! sherlock, we've all witnessed it.

As I said in the Q&A thread, I'm not falling for the PR stunt as I foolishly did going from Vanilla->TBC-Wrath. If nothing happens, I will leave, period. There's other stuff out there to play now. Though if I leave, it wont be alone, and it sure as hell wont be quietly. I'll catalog every intention, plan, promise or 'feeling', the income revenue over the period of time until now, the cost of putting a team of coders to work for one week to fix things, and send it to every single media outlet I know. I'm that much of a bastard.

It was to be expected, given how they end up shooting themselves in the foot if they go into too much detail.
But knowing the general design direction is quite useful IMO. Mostly it allows people to say "Yeah, that sounds cool" or "Nah, I'll better reroll now".

Because now everyone is on a common ground about where the class will go in the future.

I would've liked it if they actually listed the current problems of the class (even the problems where we're too good. Ok. Stop laughing. STOP. LAUGHING), and their thoughts about it.

Instead, they kept on talking about totems having 5hp, using lots of words to say absolutely nothing at all..

If you people expected full blown patch notes it's no wonder you are unimpressed. They actually did provide us some sneak peaks into the next patch.

Poster above 'i would like it if they showed the current problems of the class'. I'd be disappointed too reading stuff with my eyes closed. Or are you just blind?

They touched on:

-mobility
-earth shield
-mana tide
-pve mana
-chain heal
-totem stomping
-4 totems in 1 GCD (very minor buff tbh)
-nerfs to the other healers mana (a net gain in power)

I'd say this is a very nice sneak peak into 3.2 patch notes, that they never said this would be.

As Shaman best u can do is brace for the worst and take anything else as a bonus.

If all else fails, at least we will come out of this with a new icon for Lighting Bolt or something.

No Senjaka, you make the classic Shaman mistake, which is going to leave you disappointed, not the ones demanding answers. Throughout the whole Q&A post there's this thin red line. It's "may", "plan to", "feel" and using phrases as "in the longterm". Then, more specifically there's this;

If anything, they're going to keep us waiting for another patch, and another one, and another one, and then we need to shell out 40 bucks for another expansion that's poorly beta tested. Then you'll find other classes have yet again advanced faster than we have. And so the endless circlejerk ensues.

The only way to stop this cycle is by giving concrete ideas and answers, and implementing them ASAP with full priority, so that we're back up to date with the rest of the classes. Even if that means it wont be changes we like, at least we'll know what we're getting ourselves into. This Q&A is vague and nothing more than a poorly constructed PR stunt that may have worked if they were George W. Bush but not for anyone else.

It is vague because it seems most of you expected a slew of patch notes full of concrete answers. If you want that you'll have to wait for the actual new patch.

As far as a Q&A is concerned, i've gotten alot of insight in the planned changes. Whether Blizzard has a hidden masterplan of making Shamans suffer for as long as they can until we all reroll or quit, we'll just have to find that out by next patch wont we.

Even if only half of the changes make it in 3.2 if that comes along with nerfs to other classes (winnervate) that will bring us up alot more than you think. I do hate having to suck for ANOTHER arena season tho. Earth Shield dispell thing and higher Mana Tide HP should get hotfixed in asap.
