I am more than 100% sure, that it's gonna be a total fail. Worse than Lineage (IMAGINE!)

I hope that this change goes through. It will be a step in the right direction on what Blizzard wants from the arena (being E-sport) and it will free the developers to focus on trying to balance between classes arround the obvious things that matter.

Many of us have been calling a removal of the 2 v 2 bracket. This change, if it indeed goes through and God i hope it does, is as good as any. It will deffinately be a while until RMP is "fixed" and cleave teams to be "reduced" in power but this is deffinately a great change for the better if it goes through.

Roll on Blizzard. Finally SOME light in the this neverending black tunnel.

i know youve countinued to talk after this post but would you care to elaborate? I personaly dont see how you playing it with your friend to teach him the game is damaged by this change. Its blizzard saying you want points and casual play from 2s? Fine youve still got it but we refuse to balance the game around a retarded bracket and our finaly going to move forward with our esport goals and focus on 3s. You cant get top gear just because your the best class this season? ABOUT #*#*ING TIME?

It's not impossible,but I share the fear of my fellow Azerothians about the well being of our world if this change goes live!

There will be loads of new 3v3 teams and everyone who's not a Priest,Mage or a Rogue would be rolling a cleave,and then all those cleaves would cleave each other to see who can mindlessly cleave better!

Soon enough we'll have a world of mindless cleavers running amok,and the world would look like that zombiefest during Scourge Invasion event!

Damn,with some practice I could get better in this RP stuff...

This would be an awful change, but if they did do it i'd like to see 4v4 introduced.

i have a cousin that lives 300 miles from me, we are like brothers, and for me to play 2v2 with him and earn gear through it was awsome, and one of the only reasons i played, its a good way for us to keep in contact.

dynasty warrios crossed with wow aireil battles, final fantasy graphic engine but better.

i came back after 5months giving blizz its last chance and i wanted to keep in contact with an old flatmate that moved away who i gamed with, i think if this is as pissy as it sounds il never try a blizztard product again nor will i recommend it cos they are proving there fancy game is backed by real amateurs.

Everything is concerning 2 v 2 arenas when it has been said time and again that Blizzard does not give much shizzle for the bracket.

At least now we have an official viewpoint that this is indeed true. That they would go another step and -block- those that have made the forums their personal QQ pool is a good step in the right direction. Now all and any who focus on 2 v 2 have NO right to cry and demand for anything. It is now admited that 2 v 2 is an inferior segment of the arena.

I'd like to understand your reasons for hating 2v2,but since you have no teams or teammates I cannot comprehend where's your frustration comming through especially since you're a Death Knight.

Why is 2v2 so "retarded",there are a lot of comps that work,you can have fun with your RL mate,it's the bracket where you can defeat a cookie-cutter comp even if you're not one just by outplaying them!

And then why is 2v2 worse then a gazillion cleaves and rpms in 3v3 bracket or even those silly 5v5 arenas which are just about who's pressing buttons faster?

your post did not contain valid arguments. what is there to elaborate?
if you want a serious discussion then here are my cards:
2v2 is being played much much more than 3v3 or 5v5 (lol). this can not be based solely on the fact that a 2v2 team is the most easy to organize. it seems much more that most players enjoy 2v2 more than 3v3 and 5v5. they usually justify this by saying that 3v3 and 5v5 is less fun because it is either rmp or zerg cleave teams that are successful and at the same time boring to play against.
you cannot argument that the players who enjoy 2v2 can keep playing it for fun since most players (like me) do not have the time to concentrate on more than one bracket at a time and playing 2s in spite of getting no rewards is ridiculous, if only because you will get stomped by players who DO have the rewards from 3s.
also, balancing 3v3 is NOT easier than balancing 2v2. in 3s, you have many more synergy issues like CC on different DRs (hello PMR) or excessive on demand burst, making some comps virtually unbeatable to many other comps.

bottom line: all that blizz will achieve with this change is pissing off a lot of passionate pvp players who mostly enjoy 2v2.

2v2 to is a personal fight , its tense and i love it.

3v3 seems impersonal, (mainly coz the team mates dont no each other irl)


to mess up 2v2 would be a tottaly stupid idea can u not see it?

Its the same reason as to why people dont want to give good gear and weapons through BGs. I have heard time and again "lol why should you get good gear for leeching?", well i will counter argue with "why should YOU get good gear because you are FOTM and faceroll your way up without putting any effort in it?"

Or "if you want good gear then earn it with skill in the arena", ironicaly i will answer with the same line but i will modify it a bit "if you want good gear then earn it with -proper- skill through the arena" which 3 v 3 provides.

Because now they DONT have to consider 2 v 2 at all. So far 2 v 2 arenas have held them back somehow. Now that 2 v 2 arenas are a non issue i believe the situation will clear much faster and with better focus.

Yes 3 v 3 is a cleave fest for the time being. I believe that the situation will change soon now that 2 v 2 is out of the picture (at least i hope). As WoW players we have learned to endure and be patient about changes. I suggest the same for this one too.

If this goes live, I think im gonna stop playing arena...

3v3 is okay..

I hate 5v5..

I love 2v2 coz im playing with my brother and we pwn ( most of the time:)


I hope blizz will reconsider this!!!

To get higher rating and better rewards in 2v2 takes at least moderate (EDIT:fixed) amounts of skill with your class.This season is not like Season 5 where every DK played by a 3 year old could've get 2500 rating.

I find it very competitive and interesting on my battlegroup,and you just cannot faceroll your way to the top,that's the reality of this season.

While I've faced numerous teams from 2.1k+ in 3v3 which had keyturners,DKs silencing my warrior,druids innervating without barkskin and retribution paladins with Righteous Vengeance breaking their own repentance.

I'm sorry,but it seems to me that your frustration has been directed in the wrong bracket.
