Currently the manacost on bear/cat is ridiciolus, its a self manaburn.

also: any chance for a real use of tranq ? its atm quite much a feral ability.

Any plans to change tranquility ? To make it more useful in raids.

Like for an example raid wide with less healing done, or make it like the new prayer of healing with group targeting. Also any chance of getting a bigger range on it?

Restoration PvE:

1. Do you plan on nerfing or buffing druids/the other healers? Druids are currently so dominating in PvE healing that it's not even funny. It's probably the new style of fights - static raid damage, and if the fights are going to change, I don't think it's needed. But I do think shamans and paladins are in a pretty bad role atm.

2. (Improved) Tranquility. I realize this spell is a great feral spell, but it just has no use for resto (and balance) at the moment. It actually has a talent to improve it, and I can't see anyone, anyone, picking it up for any kind of a spec. Can you please get Tranquility redesigned into a Divine Hymn-type of a spell, as having it group-only is pretty useless. Having the talent change into something better for resto might be great too.

Restoration PvP:

There are no issues that come to my mind here. Being the top dog in our battlegroup, I think we're fairly balanced, just that the other classes are not. Shamans need buffs, priests are fine, and paladins' mana efficiency is pretty out of control (prot).

E: As seen on the post above, I'd also like to see the manacost of feral forms changed. ~900 mana makes it sure we can't use any of them like at all.

Balance PvE:

Damage/utility: Balance seems to be pretty low compared to elemental shamans, who actually buff the raid better than moonkins. Do you plan on addressing this issue? Totem of Wrath pretty much overwrites greatly all the buffs moonkins can give.

Balance PvP:

1. Damage style: Moonkin damage style currently is pretty bad. Comparing to mages/warlocks, they have their on-demand burst whenever they want. Looking at moonkins, they have to crit for Eclipse, which is pretty rng'y enough, and then hope they get to cast during it. Basically moonkins have no way of having their on-demand burst except rng; compare Eclipse to Shatter, warlock instant-spell-arsenal, it's nowhere close.

2. Survivability: Balance has one cooldown, Barkskin, compared to mages' Iceblock and warlock's teleport (Sacrifice too). I realize the comparison to warlocks might be a little bad, but their cooldowns are still better than moonkins. Barkskin does nothing to stop the damage from CHOOCHOO-meleetrains, unlike frost mages' kiteability and Ice Block. I'd love to see this addressed, as in armor buffed or something extra given.

Um.. what? I've seen enough logs and players telling me that I'm not the only one who thinks druids are #1 by far at the moment. Discipline priests and holy paladins are main tank healers, and holy priests get pretty much crushed by druids.

Are there any plans to make Feral/Balance more viable in arenas?
Since beggining of time only handful of specs dominating arenas, 2 explansion later, nothing has changed.

Are you happy with current Tree of Life form? I'd like to see my new gear and heal in caster form instead of being forced into one boring look. Also druids should be turning into animals, not elementals imo.

Any plans on new Travel or Aquatic Form? Taurens are still turning into night elf animal when in water and travel form is missing horns.

Any updates to feral leveling? Most talents/glyphs focus into Shred/Rip but leveling druids use Claw or Mangle for combo points and Ferocious Bite as finisher. Also while I know you ignore this, I'll ask it anyway: Ferals are forced to be in caster form from levels 1 to 9 and 10 to 19 in bear spamming Maul. Any plans to change this? Giving cat form at level 10 or smth would make druid leveling fun instead of pain

Just going to quote both of those as they are the questions I came in here to ask.

Just an addition to the second one. Elemental Oath has a much larger range than Moonkin Aura making it the clear choice despite providing the same buff, is there any plans on addressing this too as it seems like a fairly simple change that will at least not guarantee that elementals are the undisputed choice, though I am sure their higher DPS/better buffs/more effective off healing when needed will still mean they are the clear choice.

Why was there an Idol for every spec at wotlk launch except for bears ?
Why do we need to kill Gen. Vezax in 25man to get our only upgrade on this lvl70 idol while for every other spec it could be bought with badges ?
Why are bears not running 25man not allowed to upgrade that lvl70 idol ?
Why is the itemization on leather gear for bears so poor ?
Why is the itemization on our tier gear for bears so poor ?
Why is there no real leather bear gear in ulduar but only tier gear or low stamina leather which is obvious kitty/rogue gear?
Why do we get 'forced' to either arena or run wintergrasp raid to get gear for pve (Furious legs & gloves), again
Where are our tanking weapons ? Every other tank gets upgrades resulting in higher tps , but we don't.
Why are we still running around with a lvl70 enchant , where is our tanking enchant that other tanks did get ?
Why is the only +threat enchant also giving +parry , making it half useless for bears ?
Why is my health and armor a problem but is it fine for a deathknight to have more of both ?
Why do we still have the range bug ?
Why does my view switch down to my bear butt height when I shift and makes it harder for me to see as an other tank? yes that big brown butt block a lot of sight ....
Why do we have the worst cooldowns of any tank ?
Why oh why ....

Do you think Cat Swipe is balanced on trash packs/boss encoutners with more AoE?
Quite some time ago (in Naxx) Hunter Volley was adjusted to put them back in place, will the same happen with cat swipe to put it back in line with other class AoE?

As others also noted: Im quite disapointed with bear itemalization :-/ Mainly that there are very few items that dont have useless stats for druids (+ parry rating etc.) and wouldnt have to fight with other (dps) classes over them.

1. When are you going to make Moonkin spell rotations more interesting, I have a DK alt and that rotation is 10 times more interesting.

2. Are you going to enable us manage our own DPS rather than rely on RNG procs. I dont always want eclipse to proc for about 30 seconds. But right now we have no choice but to cast starfire or wrath, this means that cannot manage our own DPS effectivly, we are slaves to the proc.

3. PVP survivability is still unbelievably poor, too many classes have too many counters for moonkin, I dont mind some classes having counters, but it seems every single other class out there has counters, how are you going to bring owls back to arenas rather than seeing one occasionally get owned in BG's

4. Gear, you are forcing us to use resto gear, ulduar spell leather is full of haste, it is practically spilling over the top, moonkin soft haste cap is 400, we can get this easily, what we really want is crit, and even then the soft crit cap for starfire eclipse is easily reached with T8 2P bonus. Are we going to see more gear that is favoring moonkins, and are we going to see our class have a clear view of what gear we should be aiming for.

5. talents, We have various talents, alot of which are quite useless, I dont take any mana regen talents intentionally(only to reach various tiers of the tree) My mana in ulduar raids is fine, especially with the improved innervate. Are we going to have more useful talents that we can pick rather than stuck in the same old eclipse based talents.(probabyl didnt word that question very well)

6. Sustained DPS, Right now I start off quite well in boss fights, eclipse procs quite early and I am top of the DPS meters for about 20-30 seconds, as soon as eclipse ends, i drop down the DPS meters like a stone in water, when eclipse coems back again, i gain a little DPS, but in the end i finish way down the ranking. Moonkins have too much damage for 15 seconds, and then not enough damage for 45-60 seconds after that, which leaves us still around 15% behind pure DPS classes with equal(or lower) gear. How are you going to boost our overall DPS over a whole fight?

7. Why did you put improved barkskin deep in the restoration tree, it is clear to me and many other druids that this talent would help moonkins in PVP to no end, it is moonkins that need to shift out, throw a regrowth or lifebloom on themselves and then shift back into moonkin form again, improved barkskin would help to slow down enemies who instnatly remove those hots. Resto druids have NO problem keeping themselves up against 1,2 and even 3 enemies attacking them at the same time. Would you be willing to experiement with moving this talent so a moonkin can reach it.

8. Typhoon, I really have not noticed much improvement with the daze effect added to typhoon, it still doesnt get melee out of range for very long, if at all. Usually moonkins have some sort of slowing effect on them or daze on them while the melee are attacking, so adding the daze effect to typhoon has done nothing to help moonkins out. Can you please increase the knockback to somthing more acceptable, like 10 yards rather than 5.

9. nerfing thorns for resto druids nerfed it for moonkin druids even more, when a melee is on us we cannot cast any spells with a cast time, wrath and starfire either wont land or it gets interrupted. other casters have single target channel spells which automatically follow the target around even if they are right on them, or they have abilities to stun and fear their targets giving them time to cast, roots has a long cast time, it gets interrupted, natures grace is OK, but again the classes that we need it to work on most have counters for these, like COS, blessing of freedom and charging out of snares. How are you going to improve the situation for moonkins against melee, a talent to reduce the cast time of roots to instant deep in the balance tree sounds quite useful, what do you think?

If you roll 1,2,3,4 or 5, you dont do good DPS.
If you roll a 6, you have a 60% chance of doing good DPS.

Another one to add for Moonkins:

Regardless of how much DPS it grants, why did you consider another proc would be the best thing to give to us as a 4-set bonus, not least a proc that has the potential to screw up a rotation? Something that grants a flat and guaranteed DPS boost would be much more welcome.

More questions (mostly Balance).

Why does moonkin dps have to rely so much on RNG? Moonkin dps is competitive if and only if all the rng is in our favor, i.e. eclipse procing quickly, DoTs not falling off mid-eclipse, trinkets procing during eclipse instead of during the cooldown, and we don't have to move during an eclipse.

Theorycrafting doesn't reveal this problem, as it's all based on stand-and-nuke and averages the randomness of eclipse out over infinite time. In reality, we have about 13 usable seconds of Eclipse that each time has to make up for a minimum of 30 seconds (often much more) of time where our dps is very poor. Being forced to move or otherwise wasting any of those precious eclipse seconds drops our dps like a rock.

Why is there no proper balance gear in Ulduar? I know gear isn't supposed to be perfectly itemized in "early" raids, but most cloth and leather gear from Ulduar is itemized worse for moonkins than pre-Ulduar gear.

Why is there so much spirit on our spec-specific T8, a stat of very limited value to us?

Why IS spirit of such limited value? Buffing Improved Moonkin from 15 to 30% spell power accomplished very little, it's still a stat that you sigh over whenever you see it on a piece of gear.


Why doesn't flight form have a ground-walking animation?

First off plzz stop asking why ur specc is being ignored because firstly bear form is not a spec it is a form. feral is ur spec and that is bear and cat form. Before QQ about ur FORMS neglect think about this.

why are u the only spc in the game thats:
A viable tanking form in uldar
5k + DPS if needed
And a vrry viable arena component
All in on specc.

I am a druid, but i think its stupid when a class tht can do everything ofered by the game except heal, cries when one of their FORMS cannot compete with other classes ENTRE SPECCS.

EDIT: I dont mean to sound so harsh on bear tank psters, but u have to think fairly. your a haybrid class with a hybrid tree. in the past hybrids have been sorta like a jack of al trades, maser of none, so u cant expect to be as good ass the pure tank spccs, thats just not fair since u can go cat for and out ds tht prot tree any day.

no itsnot, because its till wihin ur tree, yes u cose differet talents in the tre but its still one tree. thats my point, WHAT OTHER SNGLE TREE IN THIS GAME CAN DO 5K+ DPS OR TANK, THE ANSWER IS 0.

and if their shoud be a tree tht can do both it should be in no way as effective as the trees that do only one. for commonsense reasons. And btw if u think ur gonna get blizzard to have 2 sets og gear for one tree, wich is what the Op is hinting at, GL next it will be 2 Tier gear se for Feral

- As it is now, when an absorb is active, any hot ticks on a target is wasted while the absorb takes the beating.

2. Are you looking at ways to make Tree of Life/Moonkin form more interesting to use?
- They're powerful talents, but the shapeshift in itself does not provide the unique changes to the class cat and bear form does.

3. Currently Maim is a pretty heavy resource consuming interrupt for boss interrupts like on vezax, could a better mechanic be on the table for the worst interrupt in the books?

4. Idols are pretty tame if you look away from the resto ones, those are interesting to switch around to adapt to the situation, but it's not so much the situation for the other forms. Is this a concern to you that there's not many choices for this slot?

it's not a discusion threat so i won't comment except for pointing out cat dps and bear tanking is for sure a different spec , both in the feral tree feral but 2 specs.
