Ok here are some tips for PVPing,

believe it or not, you may have been playing wrong on your main! :)

So firstly we will start with wintergrasp.

Firstly if your faction win Wintergrasp you get three Wintergrasp Mark of Honor

If you loose you will only recieve one.

Wintergrasp

I would like to thank Shadowdancer on the Hellfire server for this link on wintergrasp, hopefully others find it useful too! : http://www.wintergrasp.co.uk

Attacking

Ok if you are on the attack and want to take over the enemy fortress and get your sweet epic pieces from the PVP vendor or you want the chance to get into the Vault of Archavon to have a chance at taking the Stone Watchers PVP items here is the Key.

Personaly I never wait at the portal in Dalaran in the PVP section for three reasons

The first being, you will most likley get some cheeky mage that sticks up a portal and half of your raid end up in Thunder Bluff or Exodar.

Secondly, everyone will be spamming their AOE skills and this will lag like hell.

And lastly, you sill have to load in when you click the portal and then mount and run to the workshops.

I always start flying to Wintergrasp about five minutes before it starts and get to the Horde and Alliance NPC's in the area, you can find them in different areas on the map, when the game starts, kill them, you sometimes go up a whole rank by killing one, but usually you get one kill towards your rank. So kill a few and you will be able to get your vehicles.

The best place to fine the enemy faction is at the workshops, I would not reccomend going alone as there will usually be alot. So go to the workshops and don't stand infront of the main Wintergrasp gate as this sometimes proves to take a while to get your rank.

So when you go up the ranks, your first upgrade you will be able to pilot "light vehicles" which are the catapults, do not bother with these, they are easy to destroy, don't do alot of damage but are very fast. And they also take up a "vehicle slot" for the other bigger and badder vehicles such as Seige Tanks.

When you are the max rank, go buy yourself one and get a gunner for your turrent. Try not to make the same mistake as most people do usually and go head on for the front gate, because this of course will be the most hevily defended area. So I suggest get a few siege tanks with gunners and go in through one of the side walls as these are relitivley undefended so by the time you are on the last wall and the enemy notice you it will be too late.

Break through the fortress door and boom you win. Marks and honor all around.

Defending

Ok, so you are sitting down chatting with your pals and the next thing you notice, you are underfire by the enemy siege!

So, first thing is first, get your troops and make a defensive parimiter! Get people into those turrets and some casters up on the balcones with a few healers. They can hold their own for a while.

and get a few small squads of troops (I would say three 5 man groups with 2 healers each and 3 DPS each) and get your ass out to the workshops, take them as fast as you can and fend off the attacking faction, this will give you two bonuses:

1: you get your pilot rank so you can drive the vehicles

and 2: you get the workshop to create the vehicles.

As soon as you can, get yourself a siege tank and a gunner and get your ass south to blow up the towers, this will give the enemy less time to attack your fortress and take over it. When your done, get to the enemy workshops and destroy them ASAP, this will stop them building vehicles to get into your fortress. And if there is no vehicles the enemy can not get through your walls and thus the fortress remains yours.

When you get the towers and workshops drstroyed get back to the fortress and fend off the rest of the attackers and use all means availible to keep them back and let the time run down.

When the timer reaches 0, guess what, yes! you have just won!

Granted, Defending is actually alot harder than attacking but it is very doable.

There are also several weekly quests you can do for Wintergrasp, some specificly for attacking and some for defending. But there are the ones for both such as (kill 10 enemy players)

I would recommend doing the quests where you have to loot items suchk as herb bags, as you can still kill the mobs to get the bags even when there is no enemies around, it is very simple to do and takes a few minutes, for 3k honor and 10 stone keepers shards, it iw a far trade off.

All the weekly quests give 3k honor and 10 stone keepers shards.

Ill be putting up more PVP info my next update. And as always if I missed anything please let me know.

I must say mail and leather armor got the shortest straw there. When you add the 3 Heavy Borean Leathers you need to buy each of the recipes one set of armor will take 648 Borean Leathers. That's a huge grind compared to the 204 saronite ores that are pretty fast to farm in Sholazar Basin especially if you have a fast flier.
