Bring back shadowstep aka - most fun talent ever ! I mean make it viable without need to go ambush since thing like latency makes any ability that can be used only from behind quiet useless :).

What are your plans for Hunger for Blood? It does work at the moment, but I know you think it's too much of a damage boost for one talent.

Curently we get close/past stats compared with the end of TBC (crit for example) Do you think that it will be an issue on the long term (with new items etc)?

1) Given your stance on redesigning classes - yet your statement that, at the very least, the Assassination tree needs a total overhaul, are we going to be stuck with HfB in it's current unbalanced and ridiculous state for the rest of this expansion?

2) On a similar vein, what are you plans for Hemorrhage? It is currently a relatively useless ability bar extremely niche uses - it's damage is too low and the debuff is worthless, Subtelty has been converted to be too dagger centric.
e) By worthless, I don't of course mean worthless, I mean when you're factoring the rogue class and we have moves like heavy talented SS or Mutilate, or even deep Sub Backstab - it's worthless.

3) Shadowdance - Too dagger centric? A great move, with a lot of potential, but to really maximise it's utility you seem to need access to ambush. Weapon macro's exist yes, but this shouldn't be a requisite.

4) Vanish and Cloak of Shadows. They still don't work, nothing new.

5) HaT. Grossly overpowered like HfB, the entirety of PvE Sub is based around it.

That's it for now, I'm sure there's some things I missed however.

e)
6) On the PvP side, why is it that we're constantly penalised with inflexibility due to, frankly, poor 51 point talent design?
HfB - It's too overpowered for PvP if we could maintain it with more ease; Prep in it's current state is better however. This is more down to HfB being poorly designed than any sense.
Shadowdance - It's great. Everything besides it is mediocre.
Killing Spree - It's fantastic, when it works as intended, and in fact is almost an insta-gibb move. The tree is crux'd around this for PvP, and it only lowers our skill cap. Again, mediocre around the 51 point.
Basically, what we're seeing is, whilst niche uses of KS and Shadowdance exist, HfB is practically non-existent, and Muti/Prep is becoming pretty much our sole PvP spec.
HfB needs a heavy redesign, and KS and ShadowDance need the trees that support them to be cleaner, with a possible nerf to the burst of Killing Spree (PvP only plx).

few things i have on pvp

Subtlety, at the moment this spec is horrible, no sustained damage and you got a 14 second burst window where you can put out at times very good damage, being bad for 2 minutes doesnt outweigh 14 seconds of might be able to kill something. Are you considering maybe buffing hemorrhage damage to scale better with weapons?

Mutilate survivability, especially against ret paladins and *anything* in 3s. If i get stuck in a cheap shot or hammer and if they got a DPS-partner, I am dead. Just like that, dead. Nerves of steel in combat (a spec no-one specs, especially in 3s because of killing spree being near to useless with so many targets) reduces the damage in stuns by 30%, but you will STILL die. I realise this is not only a problem only affecting rogues but are you going to adress rogues state of survivability or in general the burst we have now?

Comparing to 2.4.3 the games were a LOT more skillbased as you had to time certain spells, for example a full kidney into a cyclone to get hots/shields off then sap him and switch. Now i tunnelvision a target whole game because it's the most effective way, is there any plans to actually make a rogue need to coordinate something with his partner? (to an extent not really a rogue question)

Versus Death Knights, you have(as mutilate, the only viable pvp-spec) one vanish, one cloak and one preparation bringing you up to a total of two vanishes. I have to say during the time I've played Chains of Ice must be the most frustrating and game-breaking ability since it's a ranged slow you can apply when it wears off, is there any plans to change things like this? Against casters our uptime on them can be too much so I dont think a trainable Shs as many have suggested to be a good idea, but do you have any plans to change how rogues are getting locked down by versus certain classes?

Vanish. This spell does not work against some classes. I've played tons of arena games. If I am up against a hunter my vanish simply does not work. It's always something hitting me, it's the same in about 50% of the cases against other classes and it's really gamebreaking, if you get a vanish bugged you wont apply as much pressure you need sometimes.

Is blizz satisfied with how the rogue works at the moment?
Meaning having more dominance versus casters and a weakness versus melee, or do you plan to balance both sides?

I remember GC saying they are planning to move rogues away, from "killing their opponents, before they even know what happend" and make the focus more on long fights
Which will you most likely tone down more, damage or CC?

GC also said something about damage shields being a problem versus fast attacking opponents,
are you satisfied with the spellpower scaling nerf , or do you plan to make another change?

Vanish and immunity, GC said they need to be careful on this to prevent exploit, has there been any progress on the decision for this?

Hi. Thanks for given the opportunity to ask this.

Are there any plans to make Killing Spree easier to use? If you know what I'm talking about you don't need to read further. Otherwise, here are some examples:

-Killing Spree locks me down behind the boss while he's casting his 'I OWN YOU NOW' aoe.
-My energy caps out during Killing Spree.
-Killing Spree doesn't work or is bad to use on some bosses (Kologarn, Yogg-Saron, Thaddius, Dragons with tail Swipe)
-I end up on the wrong target after using Killing Spree.
-I keep hitting Banished mobs during Killing Spree.

This is purely from a PvE perspective.

Can we have a viable combat dagger build again please. It used to be fantastic in Vanilla WoW, but ever since BC its seriously lacking way behind Swords/Maces/Fists.

Any chance we will see some improovements to mobility, I find myself useing everything I have to catch up to certain classes, Then haveing to wait a while for my cooldown.

Some are for it some are not, I would like to see shadowstep trainable, since the nerf to it what does it matter anyway?

Vanish use it as a way to loose targets lock on me and as an offensive skill atm, and chance to perhaps fix it so it does not break so often?

Sub tree is very dagger focused atm imo, any chance to change that?

At last.. questions..

Some have already been asked (they've been asked for months already, actually), but I'll add some comments

Q u o t e:
will you ever make Subtlety viable again?

I'm asking the same, but both for PvE and PvP.. sorta.

I don't know if you guys should bother making subtlety viable for PvE, because with all the PvP-oriented talents it has, it can only have good dps with crazy things like current HaT. A talent that suddenly makes you able to spam eviscerate every second but leaves you with 0 dps if you don't have it isn't exactly my idea of a PvE spec.

As for PvP, Shadow Dance only works with daggers at the moment, specially with the addition of silence DRs (which were needed, no complaints there), but it doesn't work that well. It's a bit absurd that you have to spend 1/3 of your talent points in subtlety to do PvP no matter what spec, but you don't want to go further because the "good PvP stuff" is somewhere else.

So my question would be: what are your plans about subtlety?

Q u o t e:
What are your plans for Hunger for Blood? It does work at the moment, but I know you think it's too much of a damage boost for one talent.

I'm wondering the same. I know last tier talents are -generally- supposed to be spec-defining but there's a huge imbalance with some of them. We saw it first when mangle showed up (mangle gave a new meaning to feral druids, but rendered them useless without it, on what would become the begining of the death of hybrids), but there are other examples like Titan's Grip (fury is useless without it).

As for HfB, having +18% damage thanks to a talent is quite crazy. Yes, I know moving some of that damage up in the tree would mess with PvP, but still, are you giving it any thought or you're ok with how it works at the moment?

Another question, and I'm totally serious: what's the current status of vanish? I believe the main problem is about software architecture, so my question is, are these mechanics (not just vanish, but rather how the whole game works) being redesigned or should we expect it to stay like that in the near future?

Why was cloak of shadows changed? Was it Setup? If it was so, does it really matter, given nobody uses Setup? Are you happy with its current state, specially considering it's now more vulnerable to latency issues because of how resist rolls work?

Is our dodge chance thought to be ok (specially compared to other classes)?

Thanks

edit: it wouldn't be me if it didn't have typos

Here it goes a few simpel question:

Vanish and latency (do i need to say more?)

Combat daggers] ever becommong a viable spec again (viable as in equel to Assasination/combat)

Any plans on reducing Fang of Knives damage? i always see mage/warlocks whining about me(as a single target DPSer) doing top AE damage.

And as a last question: why don't you swap around the tier 8/8.5 4 piece tier bonus with the rupture glyph
i mean don't you think it is a bit to powerfull for a set bonus? I'm probably not going to use tier9/9.5 at all unless it does something that increases my dps by even more...

Anyway thank you for giving us the oppurtunity to ask these questions

I'll speak mostly from the PvE side of things, and I'll try to contain myself to the non-obvious (e.g. I know that you know that HfB sucks, no sense ranting about it again). Mostly I'll proceed from most to least important in my view.

(1) A huge proportion of Rogue PvE damage comes from the essentially passive act of keeping SnD up and maximizing time on target. While I find playing Combat and Mutilate PvE optimally is quite fun (well done!), I find that this phenomenon means that you'd have to be an abject retard to do poorly. The majority of a rogue's work is done on the talent + gear sheets, do you have any plans/desires to skew rogue damage distribution to more "active" effects, thereby rewarding better players?

(2) HaT: it's a ridiculous talent and seems completely at odds with your anti group stacking philosophy. I understand it makes the subtlety tree "raid viable" but at what cost? It's as much a culprit as HfB in my opinion in terms of 1-talent wonders. If you don't want to change the whole tree, you might want to consider at least redesigning the talent to benefit from the whole raid (perhaps through energy rather than combo points) and maybe normalizing it against the number of players in the current raid? Do you have any plans for it?

(3) The Combat Tree: Okay it needed buffs, but the 3.1 changes make a combat build suffocatingly tight, there is literally 1 point to play with and essentially killed dual weapon specs making itemization tougher for us. I wouldn't mind this so much if sacrificing some DPS talents for a mixed weapon spec resulted in better DPS at times, but this is almost exclusively never the case. Any plans to "fudge" the tree a bit to give us some options?

(4) Killing Spree: This is more of a comment than a question, and a positive one at that. I *love* this talent in PvE, absolutely love it. Fun, not spammable, can get you killed if used wrong, ridiculously useful in the right situation, that's what everything should be like, more of that please :D It might have PvP issues but that's not for me to say.

(5) Fan of Knives: I'm very much for rogue AoE, don't get me wrong, but it's pretty clear to me that FoK is unparalleled in terms of power (maybe only comparable to kitty swipe) and it's mechanic is extremely spammy. With adds and AoE playing a rather large part in current raid content, do you think FoK is okay in it's current state, or do you (like me) envision some changes?
