In the next major content patch, the construction of the Crusaders’ Coliseum on the Argent Tournament grounds will be complete, and it will hold new challenges for players. We’d like to share some details on the new dungeon, which represents the next tier of content for the game, but keep in mind that this is still in development and subject to change. The Crusaders’ Coliseum will include:

  • New epic 10 and 25-player raid dungeon with five encounters, with each encounter being unlocked one week at a time
  • A more intuitive structure for harder encounters. This raid dungeon will have four different versions: 10-player, 25-player, 10-player Heroic, and 25-player Heroic, with each one using a separate lockout.
  • Introduction of the Crusaders’ Tribute! Each of the Heroic mode instances has a new tribute system that will limit players on the number of attempts they get in the Coliseum each week to present a greater challenge for the most battle-hardened heroes. Additional rewards can be earned depending on the number of attempts left in the tribute run each week when the final boss is defeated.
  • New 5-player dungeon with three encounters that will include Champion’s Seals as each one is defeated
  • New tier of armor and weapons that are modeled with Alliance or Horde-specific themes!

Urgh, now we get to repeat the same bosses 4 times a week instead of 2... yuk, just yuk.

I hope 3.3 is right on the tails of this one, the artificial delays you're putting in look very much like you're struggling to develop the new easy-style content fast enough for people to do.

As long as there are no vehicle fights, I welcome it.
4 difficulty levels sound very good.

Does that mean I can possibly get a helmet that's not so ugly this time? ;)

Sounds quite good anyway, but will there be only 8 (raid + 5-man) encounters in the patch? That sounds a bit low for a whole new dungeon tier...

this is a tad confusing.

25 man raids are "heroic" versions of the 10 man raids.
what exactly is this 10, 10 heroic, 25, 25 heroic business?

if this is a 10 and 10 hard mode stuff... pls name it something different. not "heroic" as is confusing people.

Awesome!

For four years I've been looking forward to something like this, the old GM sets were amazing!

10 man is 10 man, 10 man heroic is the hard modes, same with 25, in other words the heroic have the tribute rule

Azmodutza: it is specifically worded that there will be 2x 10man: 1 hard & 1 normal and 2x 25man: 1hard & 1 normal. The "hard modes" you see in say Ulduar is still the 10man/25man instance. Here it will be on a different lockout.

But I would like a hard 5 man mode aswell.

Wryxian be a good Croc and fix it for me... and Ill promise that I (maybe) wont try and fish you out of the Stormwind canals for the million-something time.

oh that's why they put this in the 3.2 raid : "Tigole mentioned 3.2 was a surprise, and it'd be something many have been asking for"

because nobody ask a new hyjal raid right ?

any chance of a little more infomation on this?

is this a new tier of raiding or more of a side raid? What i mean basically is what iLevel is the gear?

With 4 instances is it something like 25 Man Normal is the same as Ulduar 25 Heroic (iLevel 239) and the 25 Man heroic arena is a new tier of iLevel gear.

Does it have a 1 week lockout? or is it less like Zul'Aman, it just very much reminds me if ZA since it has 5 bosses which isnt really a full raid instance and it includes the timer type system that rewards less attempts.

Is rep with the argent factions needed in some way to participate in this? will it enhance our participation somehow? I ask this because i havent done any of the dailies or anything over there and would like to know if i need to grind rep to somehow be competitive in this place.

A little bit more infomation would be great, although i apreciate you guys are busy and writeing a post answering this stuff on the forums probably has to get the ok from multiple people but i think these questions are quite important in determining what type of raid this will be.

Thanks in advance,

Crook

Whoopidoooo! The same bosses 4 times per week instead of 2, I hope they completely redesign the "heroic" bosses mechanics to make them a whole new experience (like Freya or Mimiron, not stupid dps races).

What I read from this is, there will be two different raid instances. You have one instance door which will either get you to 10 man normal or 10 man hero, and a 25 man door, either for normal or for heroic difficulty. However I am curious, whether 10 man and 25 man instances contain the same bosses? or maybe same bosses but with different abilities?

Also in b4: Argent tournament endboss 25 man nonheroic hardmode firstkil lulz.
