It really is just a matter of semantics. The item is bound to your account, just that there are other game mechanics that prevent exchange between factions. If the game supported a way for bound items to be passed between characters of different factions, then it should work as written on the can. Sure, we could have named it such that it purely described only what you can currently do with it, but instead we chose not to restrict it from future possibility.

Theres no point bothering.

Tragedy is when I cut my thumb. Comedy is when a man falls into an open sewer and dies.

This is an invitation for you to elaborate, is there a serious chance of cross faction BoAs?

This answer to the overused meme is also quiet new and interesting as well you know?

So it's quiet, new and interesting.
Hmm, i would've thought it would be louder were it that new and interesting.

If we had some news to share, we'd let you know. As it is, it is also possible that one day crocolisks will be a playable race. It's possible! The likelihood is just as up for debate, though luckily for now I imagine my position as the only known talking crocolisk to be relatively secure. I was just hoping to explain some of the logic behind Bound on Account items from a slightly different perspective.

There's always a chance of everything. Remember how dumb Vaneras looked when he so adamantly declared that there would never, ever, ever be PvE -> PvP realm transfers, and then suddenly there was? Yeah, they have to leave room for future changes so as to avoid abuse when the devs change their minds: that doesn't imply that there will be, just that they're not ruling it out.

And:

Q u o t e:
Change it to BtF - Bind to Faction, or BtFaR - Bind to Faction and Realm (or is that a btfar fetched??)

is unnecessary unless you lack even basic levels of intelligence, or have bought your character so recently that you haven't worked out how the mailboxes work yet.

While you're in the area Wryxy my good crocolisk, I don't suppose you have any word on those new heirloom items Vaneras mentioned were coming out in 3.1? There are a fair few holes on the weapons area for heirlooms that could do with plugging, so to speak.

Horde or Alliance?

It cant be alliance after all the Crocolisks we killed leveling dorfs, so whats allaince going to get?

Oh and BOE, its bound to your account, you have an account per server atm, so if it was BOE's then you could trade it across servers, but its not, simples!!!

My dragon brings all the n00bs to the yard and they're like "i want a mount like yours,"
"Damn right you want a mount that soars, and i'll tell you; it's better than yours."

We have no more news to provide on this, except that we still intend to add new heirloom items over time. The information I'm currently looking at doesn't specify a date or patch number, however. This doesn't mean any previous mention was necessarily wrong, just that a previous intention may have changed.

Hello. I just have 1 question for you. You say that those items are BoA, i say they are BoF, can you prove me wrong? If you do i apologize for wasting your time, if not then we all can see that BoA is not the correct term for those items.

They are not BoF, because that would imply to some people that they could be mailed between realms.

They are not BoR, because that would imply they could be mailed between factions.

They are not BoRaFaA, because that would eliminate the possibility of other methods such as character migration.

If you want to be picky, currently they are BoRaAuCiMFoPatFuSGMiWtH. But that's too long to fit on the tooltips, and anyway most people won't be able to work out what that stands for.

So the best name available is BoA.

Well, what about Collection Edition pets, my characters have it on all realms and fractions I play. So, game supports it.

That's a completely different thing. Each character is given its own Collectors Edition pet. There is not one pet which can then be sent to all the other characters.

Binds on Realm and Account unless Character is Migrated (Free or Paid) and to Faction unless Sympathetic Game Master is Willing to Help.

There's probably a few more loopholes that I forgot to cover. But the point is that you'll never get a description which completely satisfies everyone.

Edit: Oops. Should have made that "Willing and Able to Help".
