0. To many password recovery attempts? Help! 15/06/2009 23:50:19 PDT
Hey, I have a small problem, I keep forgetting my password to my 2nd account ^^
I did it again today, and I have been able to get it back with the Password Retrieval thing. But I got this message when I typed in my acc name and email:
Q u o t e: This account has had too many password recovery attempts. Please contact billing support at http://eu.blizzard.com/support/article.xml?articleId=23210 to recover your password.
Does this mean that I have to call Blizzard to get it back, and will I have to do so forever?

they just wanna make sure you are the original owner of the account and not someone who recently bought it, if you can prove this is the case you have nothing to worry about.
If not you know where this is going :)

I forgot mine once after I changed it (I change it regularly as a part of my Internet Protection Program), Also I once misspelled it twice upon changing it so I had to try quite a few times to get in :p

And before anyone spouts out 'SECURITY RISK' of having it on a piece of paper, the least of your worries if your home is compromised is a password to a computer game.

Very true. However, you could also just disguise it: if it is a real word, which of course is never the best idea for a password - random letters and numbers ftw, write a sentence and incorporate that word into it.
