Ok, these have been mentioned before, but i wanna say my bit.

PVE Tanking

Warriors are supposed to take large amounts of damage. So why are we the only class wihout a magic "tank" button?

Druids, Paladins and deathknights all have single click buttons that send thier mitigation up. I know we have def stance.. But bear form, Frost stance/ icebound fort. and even devotion aura seem to be more effective atm.

Shield block

The one thing warriors have over Dks and druids is the ability to block. It was nice to see talents such as critical block appearing in the tree, but it is not currently viable to have enough SBV that block is a great stat. In naxx 25 gear, i can get a block of about 1200, if i keep other stats balanced. With Shield block and Critical block going off, i can block easy 5K.. but thats a minimum of 10 seconds every 40 talented. This is effective when tanking bosses. If these cd's and procs dont occur.. im blocking 1200 - 2000 damage of a 20k+ hit.. its really not effective at all.
Dodge/ Parry is always gonna be more effective that block at progression level, unless there is any plans to greatly improve the effectiveness of block?

DPS

many of the fights in Naxx and Ulduar have tight enrage timers, requiring the best dps possibly to down the boss. Warrior tanks are falling far short of all other tank classes in this regard. Our threat is fine.. i have no problems holding aggro from high dps threat, but my damage contribution is not enough. Not when Dks druids and pallies are providing a higher contribution to the dps.. AND greater utility with buffs
Is there any plans to bring prot dps to a level where it is at least competative to other tanks at a progression level?

Here are my questions:

1: Do you balance the Warrior Class (in all aspects) as being equal on damage with full rage or limited rage?

2: If rage generation is a problem (and I feel it is for Fury in PvP) then surely warriors will do less damage?

3: How do you feel about Intercept costing rage? It seems like an Arms Warrior can Bloodrage > BS > Charge for 25-Rage and then start DPSing. A Fury Warrior has to spend his Bloodrage on Intercept and thus no BS or on BS and Thus stance-dance very early into a fight just to be able to start DPSing. I find fury PvP very annoying, especially with no glyph to reduce the rage cost of intercept at all..

4: Do you think the rage mechanic is outdated? It seems like a good idea being different, but inreality if you balance a Warrior around having full rage, then they might as well use energy?

5: Do you think Entering Combat could give warriors 100% rage, and then you comsume it from there? If that would mean we could unload too quickly, you could argue that Ret Paladins and DKs are in the same boat.

6: As a warrior, it seems quite easy to be kited and CCd. Do you think we could get some form of resistance to crowd control - a la, Barbarians in Diablo?

7: I would argue that Heroic Strike is the cornerstone of all Warrioring. The fact that it's the only DPS move that consumes a melee auto-attack is a shame. Do you think we could get a glyph that increases the rage cost but makes Heroic Strike an instant? Paladins have CS, DS, Judgement, Exo, Consecration and in some cases Holy Wrath. Warriors (especially Fury) have two buttons to reliably press and then a SLAM on a proc. I admit I love Fury Warrioring for the look, the poise, the energy it emits.... but perhaps we could do more.

8: I understand that we are a hybrid class, but don't you think that one class can be more hybrid than another? I mean, Priests for example are predominantly a healing class with two healing specs and one DPS spec. Should a shadow priest be higher on damage than a arms or Fury Warrior? They seem to be.

9: If you argue that Warriors scale too well with gear, are you actively working on a change to balance the class?

10: Do you feel that our talent trees are as good as they could be? Many warrior in the community seem to think that all trees have talents that hardly anyone takes. Considering there are some dps builds fo other specs that don't waste one point, are filler-talents for Warriors something we can get rid of by reshaping the trees?

".. how about having TWO shields? IMO THAT'S TANK!!!"

Is the juggernaut nerf 100% coming in 3.1.2?

How will the charge cd glyph be changed? unless the glyph brings the cd back to 15 sec i think juggernaut will be worthless. making arms tree not so viable in arena

why will warrior spec arms when they can get more dmg a 15sec intercept (talented / pvp set bonus) a root/nova breaker with (1 talent point) in the fury tree?

I really think the change to juggernaut will force warriors to revert back to fury like in s5 thus making all the changes to arms a waste of blizzards time and money aye?

Correct. Continually repeating the same post over and over is actually considered spamming, and may lead to removal of posting privileges. Especially for such a thread as this we would hope that people would contribute to keeping it well-readable and structured, so that those gathering the questions have an easier job making you heard.

We've removed the spam posts. No suspensions this time around (well, not for posts in this thread, anyway).

I would love to see blue answer to all the issues that the fellow warriors have raised but instead we have a blue poster that think we are to be penalized for being enraged when we are ignored.

On the issue:
1. It seems that warriors feel a little low on PVE tanking, give some explanation how do warriors compensate the lower HP, lower threat, etc

2. Seems like GC is too smart for the majority of the players in the world so we cant understand how does he come up with his logic.(He seems like a smart person but there are some people that cant understand)
Maybe they should pay someone that will translate the development logic into human logic, because its not adding up with a logic at all.

3. The malty million company might make a test of their own in which they would translate classes/specces into numbers so next time they say ok hybrids are much higher then we intend, they might give a few sheets with numbers in them. In today's sheet they would see the only class they are implementing a nerf to its dps is lowest of all the hybrids.

Maybe a blue poster would feel sorry for a paying customer and use 10 seconds of his time to respond to an issue.

Guess it's worth a try but first a short breakdown of what the typical fight involves while tanking as a warrior. You have to keep Thunderclap up, refresh every <30s. You have to keep Demo Shout up, refresh every <30s, unless specced in fury when you only have to refresh every <45s. You have to keep Commanding Shout up, refresh every <2 minutes, unless specced in fury for a 3 minute duration. You have to keep your threat rotation working, the order of attacks is roughly Shield Slam > Revenge > Conc. Blow / Shockwave > Devastate, these attacks are all on the global cooldown. While doing this (keeping debuffs up, shouts up, doing threat, watching the fight) you have to keep watching your Shield Slam cooldown, since Sword and Board can procc and reset it. All this time you also have to carefully watch your rage levels so you can keep the basic rotation going, but you also have to keep pressing Heroic Strike every weapon swing as long as you have rage and quickly stop pressing it when you avoid a few attacks in a row so you can keep your basic rotation going. So, on to the questions.

This is all about warrior tanks:
- Will warriors ever get rage on dodge/parry?
- Will rage ever be fixed, I have either a full or empty ragebar and my tiny autohits don't even give enough rage back to keep up a decent threat rotation on their own. Compared to paladins who just now got a 100% uptime on divine plea and druids who actually do some white damage and can generate rage or DK's who don't even rely on incoming damage at all.

- Why does warriors have the lowest health scaling?
- Why does warrior tanks have to keep doing Thunderclap when there's only 1 target? Paladins get the same 20% attack speed reduction when they judge, druids get it as a stacking debuff when they attack, not sure how it works for DK's.
- Why is there so many talents to improve shouts? And all are in the fury tree. Whouldn't it be better to improve Commanding Shout and Demo Shout in the defensive tree?
- Will shouts get longer duration/area? It's a pain having to keep them up at the moment while at the same time having to do Thunderclap and Demo Shout and keep a working threat rotation.

- Why does warrior tanks do so little damage when they tank? Making Armored to the Teeth give strength once again comes to mind to actually help a little bit on Shield Slam damage to.
- Why does so many abilities have built in threat values? Wouldn't it be better to just remove them and add it as damage instead?
- Will the damage penalty on Defensive Stance ever be removed?
- Will warrior tanks ever get decent aoe threat?
- Will warrior tanks threat/damage while not tanking ever be fixed? As it is now we get so little rage that we can't even keep a basic rotation going if we don't get hit all the time.
- Vigilance sucks. Why does warrior tanks have to rely on someone else to do the threat for them?

- Shouldn't the warrior t8 4piece bonus have been baseline when you overhauled Shield Block and mentioned it as a "mini" Shieldwall?
- Will warrior tanks get easier stat management? Paladins get spellpower from stamina and DK's get parry from strength and both these classes deal a fair ammount of spelldamage that can't be blocked/parried at all for example.
- Will the requirement of having to block/dodge/parry be lifted from Revenge to help warrior tanks that don't currently tank do "some" damage. As in you need a second tank in the fight but not all the time. Yogg-Saron comes to mind, you have to tank adds spawning in the first and last phases, but inbetween you are pretty much useless and can't even do a bit of damage, since that requires you to take damage aswell.
- Will Heroic Strike be fixed? If you thought pressing the old Shield Block was boring and repetitive you should try this. Pressing it every weapon swing as long as you have rage isn't the most fun and rewarding experience.
- Does Blizzard feel warrior tanks' threat scale good enough? So many static numbers that doesn't scale at all.
- Will Devastate actually be useful and not remain the currently worst threat ability, considering it's the protection 41p talent? And why does it add a fixed ammount of damage for each sunder? Wouldn't it be better if that scaled aswell?

And a more general one:
- Will block ever be useful?

I do realise this is the Europe forum and the chance of actually getting an answer is very close to zero, but when Blizzard actually want questions then maybe it's worth posting.

Edit:
One more question i just came to think about:
Seeing as Blizzard fixed the improved Revenge talent to actually increase Revenge damage the way it says it should. Why didn't Blizzard fix Shield Block so that aswell works as is should? As in doubling the blockvalue, not just adding the unbuffed and untalented value.

Edit2:
- Why does Warrior taunt have a 17% resist chance when there's NO talents that give hit?
- Why does Warrior tanks have to spend 2 talent points and 1 Major Glyph to get a weaker version of Icebound Fortitude? 40% reduction on a 2 minute cooldown.

Why have protection warriors only gotten 1 significant change (5% damage buff in prot stance) since the 2 builds you spent in beta doing an overhaul, when it's been pretty obvious since then that we were the weakest tank?

Did you really think you hit perfection in just one stab, eventhough every single other class/spec in the game has gotten multiple tweaks and turns since then ?

Do you really expect protection warriors to believe you'll actually do anything considering the complete and utter ignorance you have shown us ?

Warrior DPS and RNG.

It is alot better now after the Taste of blood change (which still is bugged and sometimes only proc once every 9th seconds, is this something you are considering fixing?), but sudden death is still very much RNG, sometimes it isn't proccing at all, and other times it's pretty much proccing on every attack for a few seconds completly throwing your rotation into the ground.

Also you said that with the fury fix/buff you would make the rotation "cleaner"
quoting: "We have a different plan for improving dps, one that should also make the rotation a little cleaner"

A few days after that was said you announce that you will change bloodthirst cd to 4s and reducing rage cost to 20, this might seem like a good idea..

BUT it does not make the rotation any cleared, it will just make it worse, currently instant slams can proc pretty much at any time, and it WILL push away your rotation if you try to use it asap because of the chance of wasting the proc when the next attack lands.

Is this also something u consider changing? Currently it's just awful

In addition to all questions from the "most quoted post", i would like to ask my deleted question :

Will warriors ever gain some rage from attacks that are absorbed ? Just a simple "thought" :

You hate someone, and you want to kick his bss. And you CAN'T, cause he absorbs your dmg. Wouldn't that make you MORE angry and make you generate your anger (rage) faster ?

Make us gain rage for those situations.

And, edited - why is warr the only class that has "aoe" attacks that target only : 1. nearby target, 2. 4 targets ?

Fury:
What is the purpose of the 2.5 seconds we get between Bloodthirsts in 3.1.3?
How does that clean up our rotation when we often have to provide utility through Demoralizing Shout and Sunder Armor?

Example of this:
0.0 Bloodthirst.
1.5 Something.
3.0 Anything done here results in loss of damage from Bloodthirst, in a perfect world of 0 latency/reaction delay it's in the figure of 600-700 damage lost for a raid buffed (well geared) warrior to use his/her global cooldown at this point.
4.0 Bloodthirst.

Is this the intent of the design, or is this an oversight? If this is an oversight, could Revenge also receive a look over?

Protection:
Considering we have to gear towards avoidance to remain viable in challenging content, what is going to be done about the damage of Shield Slam? Also, has the issue of the rage drought caused by this gearing been forgotten?
Currently warrior burst threat seems quite weak, especially on recently pulled mobs with not enough rage to press Heroic Strike.
Is it a design intention that the first button we press is Shield Slam? Is Shield Slam hitting for 1800 damage (no debuffs, no Shield Block) supposed to be sufficient in building threat on a pull?

Does Heroic Throw really need a 1 minute cooldown? Could a glyph that takes away Gag Order but reduces the cooldown not be made to make it more usable? Or a deep protection talent that reduces the cooldown?
Currently warriors are at a loss when it comes to grabbing something at range (when we can't use our mobility, IE Yogg Saron P1, clouds limiting our mobility), it's a matter of cooldown and not resources for warriors. The process is currently: Keep Heroic Throw for an emergency, Taunt spam and pray it reaches you/you it before taunt expires (as well as for your Shield Slam to actually be enough). Should you need to taunt again before Diminishing Returns expire, god help you.

Thunder Clap and Shockwave:
Is warrior AoE threat considered to be on a good level? Right now (even with using a slow weapon for Deep Wounds) Thunderclap and Shockwave do not seem sufficient when it comes to holding aggro on multiple mobs. We are once again at the point where sustained threat on more than 4-5 mobs is problematic and we have to frantically tab in between them.
Shockwave is a terrific ability no doubt, but the cooldown is crippling. The glyph does not help, all it does is put the stun on constant DR. Would it not be possible to have the glyph remove the stun and lower the cooldown further?
Why does Thunder Clap do so little damage even at high levels of attack power? Why does a core tanking ability need to rely on a dps talent (Deep Wounds) to be useful?
