What do u guys think of the shaman teams in tournament?

In my opinion 2 things came painfully obvious about shamans.

And these are:


1. Mana efficiency. Did u note in how many games shaman team lost ONLY coz
even having used their on mana returns shaman was oom and other healer
was around 20-50% mana WITHOUT any mana return CD´s used!

2. Survivability/ Defensive CD. For a good rmp for example it´s just too easy to
run in and face roll a shaman down going through their cooldowns. This means
that even IF the shaman team was succesful to peel for their healer it´ll consume
ALOT of time and recources which leadsto losing offensive pressure----->

Which brings us back to point 1. When the game extends for too long U WILL be
the first healer too go oom 100%....

Peace.

So my question is:
WILL we see changes to these OBVIOUS and UNFAIR shortcomings?

***suggestion of new survivability spell*** [Body Swerve of the Shaman Dev team] instant cast spell costing no mana (Range, Worldwide), call fourth the pain of 4years of all combined Shaman players making u immune and untouchable to everything in the world(you taste coffee and feel refreshed).

Maybe im looking in the wrong places but is there any concrete indication that we will get fixed or fixes for or before 3.2 all i see atm is the usual old answers?

iwe looked around the forums and not found any conecrete info on what stats give for enhance,
1 agi+ = ap? crit?
1 int+ = ap? spell crit?

as im not sure if i should go for agi+ gems or ap/crit gems..

Dont have a long list of questions or changes i would like. Just have 2 points i would like to get fixed or adressed in some way.


1. Enhancement Hp is very low and the 5 talent points i need to specc for 1k more hp seems like a big waste. I find myself getting more or less oneshotted by bosses/boss-adds AE spell. In thoos cases i have the ability to ankh if im lucky.
But when it comes to arena and i get my tail kicked in a single burst combo theres nothing and i mean nothing i can do. will u cange our hp in any way?

2. Is there any chance of getting a deffensive proc on MSW or some other kind of survival mechanism like ele.shammys have Astral shift? I know we have Shamanistic rage but thats just 15 sec on a 2 min cd and we dont carry a shield like the ele.s do (yes some of us do for the melee in arena).

Hi im a elemental shaman and i only have 1 question to meke since almost everyting that i got in mind to put as a question was alredy posted, so here it goes.

Does any1 in Blizz realy plays a shaman and thinks that is an balanced class even knowing that we are free food in PvP and we didnt got our hotfix for the patch 3.1?

I dont play shaman but i have to admit that they are somewhat underpowered ( i would say the other classes are moreso op but theres always a tendance of buffing instead of nerfing ) is there any plan on buffing there mana regen or making heroism work a little like innervate or so?

For some reason my first post didn't get posted. But now I noticed a blue informed us that the answers soon will arrive and prolly that indicates that there is no use of posting questions now. But for some reason I'm gonna do it anyway. I haven't read all the post so all questions might already been asked.

All questions regarding PVE Elem exept the last one that is something I think wouldn't change to much but sounds more correct.

1. ToW. It feels a bit strange that we have to remove a totem we rely on to be able to do some area or use searing. Any plans of making ToW an aura or perhaps a specific totem class?

2. Scaling. At the moment Shamans gains very little compared to other spellcasters from raid buffs. Any plan on making some kind of SP bonus from Int?

3. DPS in moment fights. I noticed that I drop far more then other spellcasters on the fights in Ulduar where there is a lot of movement. Any plans on giving elems any way to keep up the dps on those fights? It would ofc change if we could have searing up at the same time as ToW.

4. Gear from Ulduar. I understand that there are more classes that use cloth and spirit then it is that use Mail spelldps. But sometimes it feels like we can make an ulduar run without a single drop that I can roll on. And if there is a non spirit ring, neck, back etc that drop I have to roll against all other spellcasters. Any plan on giving Shamans a small boost from spirit or making more drops from the booses that we can use?

5. Totems. Due to the many fights in Ulduar that you have to move a lot, is there any plans on making the range longer on totems or perhaps a skill that recalls the tomtems to your new position? Or make them better and let them be the way there are at the moment?

6. Totems. Any plans of making it possible to make it possible to have one combination of totems that you can drop at the same time? At the moment there are no need to drop em on trash and on bossfights you rarely can drop them before the fight starts and therfore loose 4 GCD.

7. Any plans on giving the shaman a boost on single target if the idea is that we shouldn't have a good AoE?

9. Any plans on making Stoneclaw attract pets and summons amd stunning them as well?

Hehe, I have been lucky enough to both catch my personal Wryx (baby croc) and my personal GC (strand crawler). So by holding those 2 ransom I guess I will be calling the shots in this game now. /grins wickedly ^^

Anyways, looking forwards to reading the A part of the Q&A sessions.

My question is, how can resto shamans even get to the current state they are at now (pvp-arena). Dont you have anyone at blizzard that puts the classes to the test. I guess you do, i bet its about the same players that played at blizzcon. No wonder why it gets out of hand like this.

Suggestion: hire half decent players to test out classes in the arena.

As I read resto shamans are going to get a big update the next patch, is it finally time to make the icons of Chain Heal, Lesser Healing Wave and Healing Wave a bit more distinguished?!

k since the elmental shaman before me posts a lot of great suggestion about his role i will do the same about enhancment ,from a pve pov:

1.our stat : i don't see any reason to end up at lvl 80 having STR>AGI,andSPIRIT>INT,you overhaul our spell and talent do the same for our stat,levelling is a pain like this.
2.Lower mana from totem ,since we have to recast all 4 totem everytime we do a step we end up loosing a lot of dps and having mana trouble for that.or simply change totem radius
3.Make Searing totem and sentry totem viable. Now are trash spell. for searing for example i demand a pet command like, and more single target dps than magma.magma totem is the reason behind why on vesax we are crap ending at last spot on dps.
4.remove earth shock interrupt and move wind shock out of shock CD.this wil solve all problem behind interrupt rotation on bosses like KT/council/vesax where the interrupter lose his rotation and keep it for his next casts ending with both interrupter wasting their cd at same time.
5.we have less hp than rogues,while rogue got a lot of ability to save their lifes we got like nothin.we should have atlast 5k more to be above them but under arms/retri hp
6.move elementals off totem system,so we can use fire elemntal or earth ones plus the totem .this will solve our aoe lack( only 1 time every 20 min...)
7.makin riptide a shaman only ability,and change riptide on resto talent to make restos usable on other people,elem and enhanc will use it only on themself
8.make ulduar tier token 1X like tier 6 (3 token per boss) but forcing to drop 1 token different from each other, in a common raid you'll see: 1 war prot-1 arms-1 fury/2-3 hunter/1enhanc-1elem 1-2 resto=10/25 of a raid.
9.elemental and enhanc loose 5% of spell crit trough the old mage buff loosing a lot of dps,simply make thundering strikes give 5% more crit since is a talent that every specc use
10.totem off GCD.is a buff that we have to cast 4X...will be easier
11.Spirit Wolf can be hit by lightining charge during thorim encounter and failbot track it as we get hitted, just make them unaffected by that spell^^

1. just read the Q&A on the US forum .... bull crap ... not tauren..

2. the Q&A is just a compilation of previous blue posts around these forums - we just got a hint about the timeframe of the "changes" - -- it seems that indeed we will see PATCH NOTES, not just blue text.

3. ok, you see that we have low hp .... wtf... 6m into WOTLK and you just "see" it ? ... it's quite obvious, it was at the release of the game - even in ilvl200 gear, naxx raids could see a 14-15k enh shaman and 17-18k mages ...wtf ...

4. totem stomping - I'm OK with the answer, it's true that the CODE had to be changed, and that is a big thing to do in such a complex game

5. droping all 4 totems at a time - nice one , i just hope that presing the buton again will just drop the "missing" totems , not all 4, to save mana . We have the recall to kill the totems if they are too far and 2CD<5CD in a mana intensive fight

6. ok, so , we can't wield swords ... we can be ok with that ... but, if you give dk's fists and rogues axes we won't have anything good to say about it - there will just be more "competition" on our already too scarce useful drops.
