Is this in terms of development too?

When will we see the promised changes to Mages?

PvE Frost specs, PvP Fire specs, Abilites to do more than make Water tables in raids etc? :<

Currently Fire mage's have problem with mana issues , due to that we have to spec to Frostfire as a alternative.

Is it intended to force mage's to have their dual-spec feature to be both used for Pve due to mana issues ? or will you guys give a look at this issue ?

Frost
-Will mages who enjoy frost ever be viable in PvE ? Or at least will we see a temporary hotfix like the ones elemental shamans got ? Its been half a year :(

- Atm casting another frostbolt yields more dps than casting the instant fireball .Will talents like Brain Freeze be fixed due to scaling problems ?

- Will Frostbolt Replenishment be fixed ? Too many ticks are being eaten off like the shadow priest issue in wotlk beta

Arcane
-Since Arcane power was nerfed ( due to high burst) and Power infusion changed . shouldnt they be able to work together now just like Arcane power works with Icy Veins

Edit: Any plans for a Scorch spec? Always wanted it but the dps is too low as you can imagine :(

My questions mainly concern PvE.

- Will Frost ever be PvE viable? I'm aware buffing Frost too much will result in PvP issues, as you have stated, but i'm sure there can be ways around this problem.

- Many Mages are upset about the Tunic model for Tier8 chest. Are there any plans to bring out a Robe alternative, so players can have the choice between the two models?

- Are there any plans to bring Improved Scorch up to par like Warlocks Improved Shadow Bolt? Without the Glyph, a Mage has to cast a spell not in his rotation that lowers his DPS anything up to 5 times, whereas Warlocks cast 1 Shadow Bolt which is in their rotation anyway.

- Evocation. An outdated mechanic still very vulnerable to pushback and RNG, there was a post a while ago about the problem but nothing was done. Are there any plans under consideration or has it simply been forgotten about?

My questions go towards PvE, too(I'll try to avoid posting those already stated):

- Are you happy with the state of arcane dps vs. fire dps as it is now?

- Will / can you do something to the massive bloat and expensive, yet only medium efficient talents in the arcane tree? (pyromaniac vs. arcane meditation, 5 pts arcane stability etc.)

- will there be any addition of raid utility to arcane mages or are there plans to make improved scorch/winter's chill a passive ability rather than a talent?

- what will / can be done about mage mana issues in general?

- is it intended to have mages cast the longest direct damaging spells of all casters and have you considered the impact it might have on movement-heavy fights?

- will there be any changes to our AoE spells?

Are the developers aware that putting more than one point in Enduring Winter will actually reduce the frequency of replenishment ticks that the whole raid will receive?

PvE frost mages take a personal DPS loss in order not to hurt raid mana regeneration. A tick-free replenishment would solve the issue, but a simple internal cooldown on this ability would be an acceptable band-aid fix.

While the frostbolt glyph provides a significant DPS increase for PvE frost, it also nullifies one of the best snaring spells in the game: the rank 1 frostbolt.

Is it conceivable that the frostbolt glyph could be redesigned so that it doesn't remove the snare?

For example the damage increase might only work on targets with high maximum health (let's say more than three times the max health of the mage).

Frost is the control & snaring tree, so it seems odd that the glyph would have such a harsh penalty.

PvP mages use valorous frostfire pants & shoulders in order to reduce mana issues and gain spell haste, which isn't present on any of the mage gladiator pieces. Wintergrasp haste items are also popular.

Why is there no haste on any of the silk gladiator set items?

Would it be possible to add a PvE-centric function to Deep Freeze and thus improve PvE frost DPS?

Let's say a long term (60 second) target debuff that increases damage done by the mage (especially ice lance, similar to the new glyph), but that either does not apply on PvP targets, only applies to targets with high maximum health, has a much shorter PvP duration or is very easily dispellable.

The frost tree still lacks a talent that makes spirit beneficial in any way. Is this a conscious itemization decision?

Brain freeze has been mentioned as a good reason for frost mages to do more than just frostbolt spam. A lot of frost mages disagree and while I think that brain freeze is a DPS increase, it isn't a highly compelling one.

Would it make sense to modify the brain freeze talent so that it also increases fireball damage as a function of the mage's spirit?

The increase could potentially only affect the fireball DOT component, so the actual burst wouldn't be increased significantly.

Fingers of frost currently allows two timed casts and an instant cast to benefit from the "frozen" status of the target, but it requires low server load and precise timing, so it can not be used in PvE with sufficient reliability.

Would it be possible to make fingers of frost officially work with a two-spell combo (cast time+instant) on the second charge?

Making the fingers of frost buff fade less than a GCD after the second spell would be sufficient.

Does it worry the developers that out of the four most popular PvE raid builds and two PvP builds, five in total rely on the "Torment The Weak" talent?

Meanwhile, talent points before it in the arcane tree are extremely weak for PvE, especially for frost, but to some extent also fire. Having to spec at least 18 into arcane leaves very little room for "flavor points" in the fire or frost trees.

Most notably, this affects Illustration of the Dragon Soul and Embrace of the Spider.

Improved Blizzard does not proc fingers of frost when the targets are immune to the chill. Would you like to fix this minor bug or is it also intended?

Before I ask about anything else, I feel inclined to remind Ghostcrawler about that pony. I have been viciously defending the stables in AB the past few months, taking breaks only to raid the farm for food, all to ensure he will have a good home.

He died with only four minutes until berserk! Kick everyone below 4k DPS and spend thirty minutes looking for replacements! THIS IS A SPEED RUN!!!1111

Mages are hardly represented in 2's, probably due to the fact melee (warriors) have been buffed to be much harder to kite + given a huge DPS increase.

Will frost be given more defensive abilities to counter the dominate melee class?

What are the chances of deep freeze being changed? (Not reliant on frostbite/small amount of damage/will work on winters chill/off GCD.)

Will there be an Evocation change? GC said the devs would review it as they realise its an outdated mechanic.

Seeing as I'm a frost mage why can't a freeze water below my feet and walk across water? ;)

Fire seems very RNG based, will this be reviewed at all?

if deep freeze will stay the same can we have a small(er) percentage for ice lance to proc frostbite? (smaller compared to fb, coc.)

Am I the only frost mages that thinks frost just pwns in both pvp and pve? ( AREA OF EFFECT ALL THE WAY!! ) I just slay 3 - 5 a time while questing since their are not really much places where I can aoe with big groups for some good uses.

But frost only sucks in raids =( I deal 1k to 2k damage on monsters that have endless hp...

    Ohh and btw let's talk about Kite-ing for a bit shall we? Why is that that warriors/pallys/dk'z = tanking classes get passive faster run speed then casters who generally are built 2 get away not just stand there and take it like a "man". I realize this is done so Tankz can pickup the mobs quicker after each pull but it's ruining kiteing in pvp.

    When are u going 2 fix this class it's utterly incomphriensible that we're still using so old mechanicz and many issues have been ignored since the game launched. Why are mages always the last class 2 get seriously looked @? Are we so broken that none will touch us?
