nice feature, but:
1) i don;t see how this could be tested on the PTR. there are no multiple language PTR servers.
2) on live, i don;t think it will accelerate the BGs by much. - only if there is a massive population imbalance between languages (for exemple, there is much more french alliance and english horde). otherwise, it will still wait the same time until a full group of one language is build up

edit: nvm, now i saw that this PTR HAS multiple language servers :) gg blizz

Why not join up ALL realms? Pretty much NO waiting times!

I dont like this idea.

Why should u mix languages like that?, many ppl on those realms dont speak english and if someone is trying to win a BG it helps whit some tactics.

And those choose to play on their own language realm and your basicly forcing them to write in english in BG's to so others will understand what they are saying.
And if you end up in a semi fixed group whit players from other language realms u wont understand what they want you to do.

And how annoying will it be when ppl are spamming i a language u dont understand?

First of all YOU should lern english before QQ'ing

Maybe you should learn to read what's actually written?

You are not gonna team up with germans, french and spanish people, but you can meet people from other realms. Meaning that an english speaking realm can meet people from a french speaking realm.

Since you can't talk with your opponent, this makes no difference what so ever, except making queue times shorter, so please stop the whining and learn to read what is said instead of just guessing what you "think" you read.

Does this mean the battlegroups will be shuffled afterwards for balance?

what worrys me is the fact you miss read the whole thread! The battle groups will have english players for alli's and german for the horde, BOTH sides have the same lanugage in only pulled from another server or in this 7 of them at a time. example:

Horde = uk (all UK SPEAKING PEOPLE! ) Vrs Allis = Spanish ( ALL SPANISH SPEAKING PEOPLE! )

Perhaps you should give people from localized realms (RU f.e.) access to PTR first? That is sick we have PTR section on our localized forums but can't copy character to PTR realm.

I miss BGs with people from the same realm actually :(

Ye olde good epic 9hrs AV which you queued up in the early morning only if you knew you had nothing to do for the rest of the day and the day after (in the most likely to happen case the BG lasted till the morning of the day after)

Give that back!

If this reduces arena waiting times, great. But I don't see how it will? Isn't the reason why arena queues can get long, that there is too much load on the match making system? and cross-language battlegroups will only increase the load on the match making system, therefore increasing the queue times by quite alot I imagine...

Oh well, I truly hope it does work but I just can't see it happening.

Are there any plans to keep these separate language PTR's for the future as well or is this purely done with the intent of being able to test this new Battleground system?

I very much like the idea at least that I won't have to watch endless German gibberish in general chats while I'm trying to play on the PTR.

Regardless I'm kinda looking forward to this new system. I'm hoping it can revive Battlegroups a bit again on the Reckoning Battlegroup. Then again, since people on the same faction have to play on a server with the same language it's probably not gonna fix the issue the Battlegroup currently has with AV. I'll test this feature at least once I get my char up on the PTR.

That's why it's not live i imagine. They're -testing- it.

On i side note how will the battlegroups work? Get rid of them altogether? Expand them with other languages? Keep them the same but you can fight people from other ones? (Just can't team with peple from others, not sure how that would work though..) Anyways just curious! Look forward to the reply :)

Sound like a good idea to shorten queue times.
However, you might as well have mixed language realms in your team, people don't care about tactics anyway.

Learn to read plz They said that Same Language Servers will be on 1 side and 1 like French or german on the Other side. Very smart move GG blizzard,
