Q u o t e:

* Corruption will now gain the correct damage modifiers for the creature type of the target.
* Everlasting Affliction: Will now calculate correct damage values for Corruption when it is refreshed in all cases.
* Haunt: Will now gain correct damage modifiers for the creature type of the target. In addition, this ability is now limited to a single target as intended. This also now works properly when refreshed on its current target.
* Soul Siphon: Will now gain the correct damage modifiers for the creature type of the target.
* Unstable Affliction: Will now gain the correct damage modifiers for the creature type of the target.

What does that mean in plain English?

Q u o t e:
* Shadow Embrace: This ability will now create a separate debuff stack for each Warlock with the talent, and each warlock will benefit properly from his or her own debuff.

This is a really good bugfix, is it surely in the 3.0.8 patchnotes yes?

Q u o t e:
You're all forgetting one important change:

Glyph of Conflagrate now makes it so your Conflagrate spell no longer consumes the Immolate or Shadowflame spell from the target.

Now Conflagrate becomes a usefull spell to use.

Now that is sweet.

* Corruption will now gain the correct damage modifiers for the creature type of the target.

This means - derka derka derka *We forgot that the spell still is buggy*

* Everlasting Affliction: Will now calculate correct damage values for Corruption when it is refreshed in all cases.

See Corruption - a buggfix.

* Haunt: Will now gain correct damage modifiers for the creature type of the target. In addition, this ability is now limited to a single target as intended. This also now works properly when refreshed on its current target.

Bugfix. And now you can under no circumstances have 2 Haunt debuffs up at the same time on different targets.

* Soul Siphon: Will now gain the correct damage modifiers for the creature type of the target.

Bugfix

* Unstable Affliction: Will now gain the correct damage modifiers for the creature type of the target.

Bugfix.

To sum it up, they are now working on the Beta Warlock :>

The question is if these bugfixes on soul siphon, everlasting affliction and a couple of dots are buffs or nerfs...

Anyone have a good idea on this?

Duh, obviously it's a bugfix. But I don't understand the sentences.
What are creature types? Dragonkin, Humanoid, Undead, etc?
And what damage modifiers do they have now compared to what they're going to have?
And why are damage modifiers different on different creature types?
Also, what do they mean Haunt is now single target as intended?

The last part I actually explained. I THINK it means, since the duration of Haunt is longer than the CD, you can have it up on more than one target, that is no longer the case.

About the damage modifiers, how they work, what scale they are in and where they are going I have no idea. I assume that different creature types means - like you said - Humanoid, Beast, Undead etc.

But it looks to me like they just want to have something to type.

You can't use the potential 2,5 seconds you could have it on 2 targets anymore? (providing you were pretty much on top of those targets) WE ALWAYS GET NERFED :o(

I'm still wondering what the creature type thing means though. Modifiers aren't different in pvp than they are in pve are they?

Warlocks

* Drain Mana: Now drains a percentage of maximum mana.
* Emberstorm: Now works with Conflagrate.
* Ritual of Summoning: Will now create a summoning portal object which can be re-used for multiple summons for 5 minutes.

Is that all there is? I mean, isnt Emberstorm just a bugfix? A drain mana tweak in these times of burst damage? Is that somekind of PvE necesity?

I mean, I saw page-long changes for many classes but I cant help to think that they are not paying the attention needed for Warlocks. Maybe they havent updated all the changes yet, if so, anyone got a good source?

Actually this isn't all we get. Our felguard's stamina scaling got reduced for teh lulz

Yes. Also, ritual of summoning is also bugged, it works exactly the same as before but with a 2 min cooldown. Great patch :p

Hmmm, it was working about 2 builds ago on the ptr because I managed to get this thing summoned.

btw - the aura I have is the egg of mortal essence proccing randomly (as usual). Last ptr build it was still working off fel armor.

There shouldn't be a buff at level 70. It was a problem with level 71-80 and scaling.

Obviously it's still not scaling correctly in live (HP wise) is that also the reason that the pets damage hasn't been increased? (like they said it should).

I think the "Creature type of the spell" might mean that, if that spell is casted by an npc or creature instead of a player.
