Greetings,

I'd like to know why in Europe we don't have a figure like GC in US. I'm not saying someone with his career but a Blizzard representative that interact with us like GC do in US.

As GC said many times it's important, probably the most important thing, have a constructive interaction with WoW players. And I think he's right at all.

So, why that figure does not exist in Europe? Why we must be passive attendance?

As i wrote in many other post i see a big lack of communication between WoW EU Players community and Blizzard representatives. We have a lots of very good and skilled players in Europe too and I don't think we should be 2nd to US (many EU users have reply to me with: If you are not American you will never recive a blue reply).

I don't think it's fair, our ideas, points of view should count as much as US players, Am I wrong?
This is not a whine, just a request of explanation.

Thanks. Best Regards,
Milkstuff.

GC is a Developer he doesn't get paid to read the forums, Its something he does in his spare time, He chose the US because that is where he is based.

That is just people thinking that because they don't a blue their post isn't read, I for example have read every new post on the General Discussion and Raid Discussion today but only posted in a few.

I think (and I may be wrong) it is mainly due to Blizzard HQ being in the US and it is a more ease of use thing rather than not liking one section of the player base for where they are currently living.

He might have been a developer at one point, but I'm quite sure at this point he spends more time on community management than on developing. And I seriously doubt he does this in his spare time. As far as I can tell he is the official spokesman for the dev team. And I hope for his sake he's getting paid well enough to put up with all the crap.

Anyways, it's true that someone like that here in the EU wouldn't be a bad thing.

I don't really like people like you. Cause you tent to to quash all the constructive threads, reply like you are/were part of blizzard team. I'm not sure you have read my post. I'm not the guy who's asking for a blue post. I'm far over that.

Have a figure like him HELPS communication.

If you are not familiar with that word, it has not only the meaning of transfer informations but it's something deepest. It has the semantic meaning of share knowledge between 2 parts. Like probably you did in your guild forum or with your friends.

Isn't too hard to understand. If the problem is the spam the forum could be moderate (for avoid whine) and there could be only one (even if in that case will result a bit chaotic due to the large numbers of arguments). Also there could be a system like wowhead or youtube where post can be rated by users. If it works on a public forum like wowhead and/or youtube i don't see why can't work here.

Anyway my point is always the same, Would be nice and welcome have a GC's like.

That's about it.

We've responded to this many times. I think most feel that it would be great if our designers did post and interact with fans in China, Taiwan, Russia, Germany and here. Actually designers have posted to the EU English forums before -- I think mostly because it's easier for them than typing in Chinese -- but this has already meant that fans in other language regions have felt left out.

Typically it is mostly the Community Team who has the job of posting to the forums. Our developers only post if they want to, and where and when they choose to. We usually try to post here the same information that is posted by developers elsewhere, which is equivalent to the translated versions of their posts that we do for other language regions. With Ghostcrawler's amazing ability to create a whole lot of informative text in a fantastically short time, that isn't always quite so easy... ;-)

And yes I know some have strong opinions about this, and they may cringe when I say it again, but we do pass on questions and feedback to the developers and this does directly lead to changes in the game. For those who survived that sentence without groaning, please continue your excellent feedback posts and constructive discussions -- we see them and appreciate them.

Shouldn't you have locked or closed this thread as having a name in the title of a Blizz rep, CM ect. is not allowed and it also draws attention to the thread just like Caps.

Not that I'm bothered or anyting =P anyway yes we should have the same treatment as the US even if its just once in a while, it would be nice.

Please show me where in my post it says that I think having someone like GC would be bad. Because I don't, I'm just telling you why we don't have someone like GC, We have these awesome CM's but (And I may be wrong again) They are limited to what they can and can't say and are mostly pulling stuff from the devs and things we already know but require a little clarification, GC is a dev so we get it from the horses mouth with no limit on what he can tell us so to say.

No, he's just pretty much the only developer posting right now, and there have been other actively posting developers in the past. It's good you do mention team though, because when it is only one person in a team posting it can somewhat hide the fact that there's actually a whole team there doing the stuff he's writing about.

I was tempted to lock, or post a reply then lock because of the reason you state. But even just a blue reply can highlight a thread way more than a developer name does, and a locked thread doesn't help prevent the same kind of thread appearing anew the next day, as a locked thread quickly scrolls off the first page. So for now the topic remains open.

I'd like to thank you Wryxian cause this is was exactly what i was looking for. Interaction between someone of you and us :)

You can belive me or not but sometimes not reciving a reply for looooong time it's frustrating. While even a short reply but full of meaning helps.

I don't know if you have ever try this feeling (not only in WoW) and you can understand me.

I think the problem is people are using tools like a blue tracker and seeing constructive threads being replied to by GC and then he will reply to multiple questions/suggestions/feedback. It can be annoying at times when people see a constructive thread which they would like to add to, but can't as it is the US forums. We can try posting some responses here but it always seems like we are giving our views and can not be heard, While on the US forums more responses are given to the same thread.

I know blues read every post on this forum, I am not moaning, just giving a point of view as to why threads like this are made.

Christ.. We get a blue post to clear up a few things and you cry about it!? Are you ever happy? Sometimes I wonder how much CMs get paid to put up with people like you whining at them whenever they do or don't do something.
