We had to make a change to the new warlock summoning mechanic at the last second to prevent an exploit. Our apologies to all the law-abiding warlocks who have to suffer with a painful cooldown on your summon in order to fix this problem. We plan on getting the Ritual working correctly as soon as possible. You won't have to put up with a 2 minute cooldown for more than a few days. Standard caveats apply that this could change for any number of reasons, but we wanted to keep you informed of our plans at this time.

Seriously dude, there is no way in hell ever you get the raids start any faster just because you agree to summon everyone who decides to /afk somewhere just before a raid when they should have parked their lazy asses in front of the instance by that time, your behaviour only encourages them to slack even more!

Personally I wouldn't mind this way of summoning staying permanent, it would allow us to summon the random replaced/etc player without even noticing the "problem" with the cooldown and what comes to summoning the peeps at raid start, like I said before, that is why there is a meeting stone in front of the instance, and what comes to the fact that there is someone flagged next to the stone, just pay bloody attention of what you´re clicking at, not that hard tbh..

Oh yeah, It is no problem at all to summon someone during a raid for a good reason like having to respec or grabbing something important from bank or whatever, its the lazyasses who cba to make any effort at all that I really cba to summon.

We all know how to use the free port in Orgri .....Stop saying dumb stuff.

These days no1 ..or well very few people go to Thunder Bluff or UC to manage AH and related things....

But when your in Orgri you can always use the free port to Dalaran (where ur HS should be).

Whit that out of the way, I think its time to people start moving there asses to the instances instead of just /t ##### summon.

If I had my way, summon would open a Trade window, and locks would charge at least the same fee it takes to fly there (we still saving time).

A warlock spends time, harvesting shards, moving to instances and summoning people, time, that could be spent harvesting minerals/leather/herbs, or grinding rep. Also most warlocks could work just fine whit just a few shards in bags, but no, we have to buy 28+ shards bags to summon people in raids, so not only we pay/grind to get a bag, as we lose normal bag space, and all that for what?

well i'm doing guild runs and most of the time we can't get more ppl, so they can't be sacked even if we had more. And switching to PVE server??? ok, give 77 players enaugh money to switch all of us, we'll thank you because the lag on our serveris is insance

I like it or just don't care about it.. my guild has learned 2 years ago i don't summon anyone unless he has a pretty good excuse to why i should do it.. its not that i lack shards now that i am affliction i finish raids in a plus not a negative of shards (hell i need to destroy some at the end) i just don't like people who think their time > my time

and yes you can armoury me i do raid:) and have been for awhile

I don't think it's hard or costy to summon people really.

But I wonder why should I get my ass there to summon people who are to lazy to get there?
What if we do like this. I slack in Orgrimmar with my HS on CD.
How many people will be summoned on a PvP server where alliance have 25-30 people standing at the summoning stone? That's right none. They should need to get their asses there by themself, but if I started to move just started to move a little bit like getting to the zeppelin outside Orgrimmar then people would start slacking the moment they see me do this.

I mean even if your HS is on cooldown in UC or Orgrimmar (or even in TB / Silvermoon city) There is just so many simple ways to get to outlands.
if you are in UC run outside us and take the zeppelin to Northrend (it takes aprox 3-6 min depending on where the zeppelin is when you reach the tower), when you arrive in northrend take flight as close to the instance as possible (this should take around 5-10 min) or fly with flying mount yourself there).
If you are in Silvermoon city. Just take the the portal object furthest inside SC and then do as I wrote for the UC part.
If you are in Orgrimmar just run outside and take the zeppelin to Northrend (the zeppelin takes about 3-6 min to get to Northrend). When you arrive just take flight or fly with flying mount (this takes 5-10 min)
If you are in TB just fly to orgrimmar and do as I said for the orgrimmar part (this takes about 3-5 min longer)

seriously it takes around 8-16 min to get to the raid instance. This is not a long time, and is the same amount of time we Warlock uses to get to the raid instance ourselves. So why don't you do the same?
It's better to at least TRY get to the raid instance than not at all...

Too bad he can't ress the melee which arel too close to the boss so they have to release. About 15 ppl release. What would you rather do: wait 10 minutes till they get there or summon. I'll take the summoning any day of the week.

Oh, soulshards? :O they are "really" hard to get while raiding. I mean, i can't make myself to press Souldrain button everytime a mob is low healthed.

Well I'm sure you don't enjoy standing outside a raid summoning everyone, and dealing with all the whispers, and knowing all the shards you farmed will be lost. You should just tell your guild to run, because why should you waste loads of time when they can get there quite fast anyway.

Locks aren't lazy because they don't feel like summoning people.
Other people are lazy because they don't feel like going to the instance.

Now.. If i want to raid, i walk there.. why wouldn't everyone else do the same?

i'm not saying that i am the only one flying, i'm usually there at the start. and i don't want to wait 6 minutes till they come from orggri, uc, tb or whatever.

Oh...amazing how a few days can turn into a week

if you guild stands in org waiting for summons rather than getting to the instance or dalaran for inv time then your guild is full of slackers and your 2nd example you spawn no more than 5 mins from pretty much any boss in game atm so stop crying its getting fixed anyway

at least now I can tell the slackers in Dalaran to fly to Wintergrasp. Allways bugged me that ppl are so lazy they cant fly that little distance..

But this is a bad nerf we got in PvE. Now there is even less rason for taking a Warlock rather than other dps. We can't even summon anymore... Only thing we have left now is ss and healthstone. Bet those are gonna get nerfed too...

I stand just outside the raid instance with 1 other person and use the summoning stone.

Shock horror it has no 2min cd.

least on my mage i get paid to port poeple if they ask :)
