Om nom nom - An addon made for those who don't like the chat tabs flashing when you get a whisper. It turns off that function. Nothing more. No configuration needed.

Trade Secretary: Ad Repeater - Sends your defined ads to the trade channel to advertise your exotic goods, or items you wish to buy. (There used to be an addon like this but I think it broke in one of the lastest patches.)

RightAlignCombat – It right aligns your combat log. That is all.

Chatter – Prat without the bulk. It is a comprehensive, lightweight, mega-configurable chat enhancement addon. It supports a whole bunch of stuff and things which can be found in the link.

Chat Color Sync - Tired of setting up the colours for everyone of your characters? Sync them with this little addon.

LoggerHead – Allows you to select what and where to log the Combat Log. Zones, Instances, etc.

Yikes BossKey – An interesting addon which allows you to dodge getting caught by your Boss, wife, siblings etc. and them finding out you are on WoW, by blanking out the screen. Configurable to allow certain things to be displayed.

WhispList - Displays a list of the last ten people to whisper you and allows you to click a name to start whispering them.

Minimap/Map Mods
Shock and Horror a double bill! It is christmas remember? This is my gift :D

fMap – Created by our very own Wimpface/Eatmysword/Ziraly/Sykh etc. Very simple minimap addon which comes in two flavours, round and square. All config is though the Lua code but it is child's play to mess with.

Mapster – A simple world map replacement mod which has the feel of cartographer but without the bulk. Co-ordinates, fog adjuster and scale are the main parts but what more do you need? Enhancement of the raid/party group icons included also.

pMinimap - Probably the simplest square minimap addon out there which comes with options. Config through the Lua code may still be necessary for fine tuning but for most of us the ingame options are enough. Lightweight with options.

pMap – Probably the simplest world map addon out there :D Scale the WorldMap to 75%. Adds player and cursor coordinates, topleft in the WorldMap frame. If TomTom is enabled pMap won't spawn coord blocks. Removes the blackout behind the WorldMap. Enables the keyboard while WorldMap is open (this was disabled by default).

BasicMinimap – Do I need to explain this one? Colourable square border and it makes use of all your mouse buttons for calender toggling, tracking and pinging.

rMinimap – Diablo style minimap? I do like. Also comes in future and square formats.

Chinchilla – For all the people who like options, lots of options and lots of configurable bits and bobs at their finger tips. Nice menu and did I mention the metric ton of options?

SimpleMinimap – Lightweight and still has every option you will ever need. Personally I am using this at the moment. It has the right balance between lightweight and options. It has also been around for a long time now so most bugs have been ironed out.

Interview with an AddOn Developer

Sykh of Spinebreaker has provided us with the following interview with P3lim. He's already been interviewed for Pimp My UI before but as the community gets new members it's never bad to name a few good coders with info about them.

• Name and Realm, (US or EU?)
  I currently play as a druid tank named Letha on the EU server Vashj, though I've been switching realms a bit the past two years.
  
  
• How long have you been playing WoW and how/why did you get into it?
  Been playing WoW more or less since it came out, though I never got really into it until I started playing with some classmates in April 2005.
  
  
• How and why did you get involved in creating addons?
  I started off trying to dismantle CT Mod into my own addon, which still lives today in pMap.
  Though the real thing I set my foot into was oUF, which is one of the stronger frameworks I know of.
  
  
• What addon site do you prefer? Curse, WoWInterface or Incgamers?
  I personally prefer WoWInterface. It has all the features I (as an author) need, as well being quite user-friendly for the end users as well.
  
  
• What addons have you created so far?
  I have created/forked a lot of addons, though the ones I have active right now is pMinimap, pMap, pStats, pError, aswell all my oUF plug-ins and layouts.

• Are you a professional programmer or did you learn the Lua language informally by yourself?
  I am far from a professional programmer.
  I still consider myself a newbie within the addon community, even though I might know a lot more than the newer people trying to play with Lua.
  About everything I learned by myself, aswell with the help from Haste and the rest of the fantastic community we've got.
  
  
• What are your thoughts on the addon community?
  Its simply amazing, we've got so many people that does this as an hobby, and many are more than willing to help out with about anything.
  
  
• We all know you're a very successful addon author, but what addon did you struggle most with? Which addon are you most proud of?
  I love taking upon challenges, which is also why I started writing addons in the first place.
  Me, like every other non-pro addon authors out there, has had a lot of issues starting off.
  Though now Its going kinda smooth, I no longer need to check out WoWWiki for every API Id like to use, because I know a lot of it by hand now.
  Hmm, the addon that I would be most proud of would be either my main oUF layout, oUF P3lim, or my minimap addon, pMinimap. (Mostly because that is my two most downloaded addons :P)
  
  
• What was your very first addon that you wrote?
  That would be pMap.
  
  
• What addon could you simply not play the game without?
  My modified version of oChat, I clearly can't play without it.
  
  
• How has WotLK affected you in terms of programming?
  Not too much, if any, it would be in a positive way.
  I love that they changed the API for druid background powers, as I play as feral, its very nice too see the status of my mana while in bear/cat stances without having other addons to "guess" the value(s).
  
  
• What are you planning for the future as your next project?
  I have no real plans for the future, or new projects, real life takes too much part of my time, and it has priorities.
  
  
• What changes would you like to see Blizzard make in relation to addons and the interface? Or what could they have done better?
  Id love to see them fix the secure handlers for groups, as well having an open-source API for the new vehicle unit attributes (a lot of issues with these two lately)

One to spam when fighting a rogue mostly. Set pet to aggressive, run around, spamming that macro as soon as your pet sees them in stealth you'll hunters mark them. Step by step it does this. Uses hunter's mark if your target is an enemy, uses hunter's mark on your pet's target if it is an enemy, casts hunter's mark if none of the above conditions are met. The cool thing is, if your pet is on aggressive it may see a stealthed player in pvp (meaning if you spam the macro you'll put hunters mark on that enemy when your pet sees it so they cant restealth)
