Weird... I've just tested it out on a dummy for a while. Waited to see what hit 75 proc's first, below is what it came out with


MH 1.90 speed, Instant poison, landed 45
OH 2.30 speed, Wound poison, landed 76

(took about 3-4 mins to complete, i am 55 hitting a 60 dummy)

So i thought, maybe its biased due to speeds and what not? so swap em over?

MH 1.90 speed, Wound poison, landed 77
OH 2.30 speed, Instant poison, landed 17

(took about 1-2 minutes to complete)

Shocking difference. I dunno if i've tested it right so i'll still wait to see what you come out with.


*EDIT* On a side note, i spammed SS's, keeping S&D up at all times. Just incase that helps at all :/

Without having run any own series or having looked at it yet: I'd guess it's a small sample size problem. I don't doubt you had those numbers, but unless you crank that up to at least a couple of hundred procs, the numbers won't have any degree of confidence. Small sample sizes are nasty that way - they can end up giving you the numbers you'd expect 3 times in a row, just to give you something completely skewed the 4th time you run a series :)

I was just thinking about writing a raid DPS guide myself if you weren't active anymore but I'll leave it to the pro's now. I didn't really have time anyway =)

Ok maybe I sound newbie but... I saw everywhere people talkin' about HaT spec but, I don't rly understand what does it mean. this is the only keyword I can't figure out atm....
As I don't have yet a rogue(I will have) I'd like to know it, if someone can explain a little...

Though as with all specs, they are subject to some changes, mainly to poisons, which Assassinette will no doubt cover in the 3.1 update.

Updated for Patch 3.1, going back to fix formatting/typo stuff now, will double-check some info over the next few days.

Have anyone tested what is the dmg output with combat daggers using backstab glyph and what is now the dmg difference between combat/dagger and the usual combat/Non dagger at MH - in general?

Because as you said - you need filler points to reach SB. It's not so much Lethality > SB, it's that Lethality + Ruthlessness (And thus 3 finisher rotations) + Lethality > SB.

15/51/5 vs. 7/51/13 isn't a question of Lethality vs. Serrated Blades but a question of Lethality + Ruthlessness vs. Serrated Blades. From a purely spreadsheet PoV they were competitive and which gave you the best DPS often depended on gear, but spreadsheets don't tend to model the benefits of Ruthlessness very well so a lot of people went with 15/51/5.

As of 3.1, as Puredpsclass mentioned above, the question is a little academic as the best combat DPS can be achieved with 18/51/2 (if you've got the gear and buffs to maintain a stable rotation) which makes 7/51/13 sort of obsolete for the moment.

I don't know if it'll make a comeback with 4T8, but perhaps Puredpsclass who actually seems to *have* 4T8 already (grats!) can comment?

Edit: Always competing with Anachronism to get these answers in first :P BTW Ana you don't need to lose Blood Splatter to get Serrated Blades.

You forgot to include that as of now, ArmPen also has a cap.
