We changed how the game handles debuffs (i.e. negative state effects on targets) on creatures with Wrath of the Lich King. The old hard cap of 40 debuffs on a target no longer effectively exists. You can now apply way more debuffs to a target without them dropping off before their duration expires. The default WoW UI will not normally display all these debuffs, but they really are still there!

It's about time. Now you can stack affliction locks for MASSIVE DAMAGE (oh wait)!

Belf Males are Metrosexual: I'm surprised their race hasn't died out, not from having no magic too feed from, but from syphilis.

There's still time to change the road you're on

Actually i'd be more interested in knowing if this applies with the buff limit as well.

Cause i always see buffs fading due to this overstacking of raid buffs.

Worldie - 80 BE Tankadin (Twilight's Hammer)
Uord - 7x Undead prot Warrior (Twilight's Hammer)
Darkworldie - 6x BE DK (Twilight's Hammer)

Tanking... srs business

Will the default Blizz UI favor showing your own debuffs of those of someone else? As a DK, it's important to know your diseases are up there for the purposes of strikes. They may fall off, or miss etc, and unless you actually see the buff (whether it's there or not) you are going to waste runes trying to reapply it until you can see it.

I use the addon Xperl, and it shows my own buffs larger than the rest. Is this something the default blizz UI does too? can we be certain that if one of our own debuffs doesn't show up there, that it's not there? Personally when you are in a raid and there's 40 debuffs + on the boss you stop being interested in anyone else's but your own (for the most part).

Signatures are for noobs.

Yes the default UI shows your debuffs first, slightly larger icons than the others.

Yes, it has been quite needed, atleast for progress raids, because now rogues can use deadly poison without deleting half of the raids debuffs.
