Noticed this the other day, nice for people who can't wait for an order to arrive or for stock to come in in a shop, but for the sake of £15 more i think i'll just wait for my copy from play.com to arrive.
£30 for just a key and no box < £15 for key + box and a little wait.

That's right. I expected to be somewhere around 18quid and I guess I will wait for box to arrive.

I can buy WotLK at Absoluttspill.no for 229,00 kroner i get the box + cds + cdkey.
I dont see why i should buy it on electronic from WoW-europe when i can get it cheaper with more stuff included?

Lol, just this minute started upgrading from the boxed DVD pack I picked up in HMV for £20 this morning. I do think Blizz have overpriced this electronic upgrade.
Mind you, I had to endure the Wrath of the Lich Missus while buying it in store. I could have sneaked a d/l copy past her a lot easier...
Good on Blizz for providing the d/l option within a week of the launch. <3

Have to admit I'm VERY surprised that this is actually £5 more than the RRP being listed on Amazon and Play.
First of all you don't have to pay any production costs, no shipping so the fact that you can go to Amazon or Play and get it for £17.99 now (12 quid less than an electronic download) seems a down right rip off.
I'll hold off upgrading my other accounts until the electronic price comes down a LOT more or I can pick it up a lot cheaper in the shops.

So don't buy it, I bought it cheaper in store too. But people in some countries have had large difficulty getting a copy in stores so this will hopefully help them. Others just like the convinience of not having to buy it elsewhere.

For my country this is cheap, no store sells as cheap as this digital download is. Average seems 5 euros higher than this. I might still get the box just because I like to actually own the game.

I think the whole point is not to p*ss off retailers by undercutting them (honestly even if they were the same price I'd probably get the digital one just for the convenience). This way anyone who has the option of getting it retail probably will, but Blizzard won't lose any customers who for whatever reason can't get hold of the game at retail.

Any information when the download of the client will be available? I kind of still use the beta client to play and I'm sure that will cause me trouble when the next patch comes out :(
And I don't really trust the random torrents that come up suddenly on the web.
