Ok, its early so stick with me on this.

The patch went out all buggy due to the fact it was needed out on time if Blizzard were to get the expansion out on time too. Theres another expansion for some other MMORPG coming out very very soon after WotLK release date (cant remember which tho, too early) so Blizzard needed to get it all set up for then to be the first, so to speak, with a new expansion out.

Gotta admit, I did find all the server disconnects annoying and all the instance not found things annoying too but it really wasnt that much of a probelm. Personally, I kept DC'ing in SW where most of the 12yr old nubs who did the whole "OMGWTFLOL I PWNED YOU" zombie stuff were, so I blame them for overloading the servers. They should be paying compensation rather than Blizzard.

On the whole compensation thing though.........................THANK YOU BLIZZARD!!!!!!!!! You do care about your customers :D

Oh, just one other quickie...........................why the hell does everyone in the forums now show up as a green grinning zombie?! I wanna show up as my hunter :S

Q u o t e:
Since the release of the latest patch, Echoes of Doom, we have gone through a series of optimizations in order to increase overall game performance. We’ve seen steady, stable populations and a flurry of activity and excitement during the Hallow’s End event and the latest rumblings of zombie attacks. It’s been an exciting time for us as we draw closer to the release of our second expansion, Wrath of the Lich King.

We've reached a point where we feel we can now accurately evaluate the events since the patch release. Though overall downtime has been minimal, players have experienced latency, inaccessible instances, and general frustrations. We are therefore announcing that we will be issuing compensation to accounts in all European and Russian language realms. Accounts that are currently active and in good standing will be credited with an additional three days of game time.

We would like to thank you for your patience during this time and look forward to seeing you in game!

thank you!

Yes, it's WoW's 3rd largest rival (maybe 4th largest) : Lord of the Rings Online. The Mines of Moria pack is out on the 14th.

And I also would like to thank Blizzard for their generosity in regards to compensation. My Battlegroup wasn't badly hit (server did kick you off a lot), but it seems others were hit worse.

Bring on the Trumpets!

We have now credited all eligible accounts with this compensation. You should be able to see this in your Account Management.

Thanks, i guess :)

Never realy understood these "days credits". Most people who are playing the game play in a monthly fee so instead of being debited on the 5th (or whatever day) being billed on the 8th (or whatever day) is basicaly of no consequence whatsoever. For the people paying with game cards instead of going to the shop ont he day X, they might go a couple of days later, but on a pure monthly cost, its the same.

For me, being credited 1,2,3,4 days is nothing since my monthfly fee keeps the same and i pay every month.

A good way to credit ALL the players for this issue would be to deduct from the next monthly fee the value of the 3 days (in this case) calculated from a simple formulae of €12.99 / 21 (days of previous month) = € X.

Mad cow love !

Well, I've been active almost every day for a long time, so I think I should be eligible but I don't see anything on my account page.

Could you please explain a bit more? I'm not credided, what did I have to do to became eligible for extra game time?

I know it's saying "Accounts that are currently active and in good standing will be credited with an additional three days of game time." but my account has been active and cyclone is probably the BG with most downtime.

Bliz, appreciate the effort, was frustrating trying to level up to a point where I could take part in the zombies / argent dawn event, only to be 'ganked' by hordes of zombies

Cleanse self,
Run to flightmaster to get to 'safe zone'
Get infected on the way
Land as a zombie and end up infecting the quest givers

It was fun, but annoying, and next time think it through a little more ;)

I didn't receive mine either.
Funny, because on outland we've had so many downtime and queues and full instanceservers an laggy arenas on top of the whole event problem.

Ah well,

It's a nice sign they care, too bad they didn't compensate everyone-;)

My account was frozen for payment method change. It has been active since release of 3.0.2.
I didn't receive any compensation on my account management. Wont I get any because it was frozen? I still played it and it was frozen because I was changing to game card instead of online subscription.

Not satisfied ? 3 days is what you get. Learn to like the free days you get, or stop playing. Simple as. They dont have to give you anything. Stop crying
