In an effort to improve performance, in the next minor patch, we will be removing the “Attributes” section found under “Character” of the “Statistics” tab found in the Achievement system. While this could be made available again at some point in the future, there are currently no plans to do so.
We apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause, and we appreciate your understanding.

Thanks for the heads up thund, but its sad to see this section go as im one of those who likes to look and think 'whoa did i REALLY do that much damage once?!?' :P
What baffles me and perhaps many more is the fact that it was only a year or so ago when you had a big massive network upgrade made on all your server infrastructure, remember? So is it a fact that already these new hardware and bandwidth you installed starting to struggle again? Im confused :s

It is only the Attributes section under Character that gets removed. Your highest heal, heal taken, damage dealth etc are still in undercombat.
Attributes holds info on the highest of each stat you have ever had and ratings.
Why not remove the 'pointless' achievements, such as the level 60 raids...anyone who DOES do them does them easily with 70 and no one will actually do them at 60.
just to clarify, they're removing it because it cost a lot of processor power on the servers because they were constantly checking everyone's stats against their previously recorded max. and removing it will decrease server lag.

remove the rest of the pointless crap then, not the interesting bit =\
Q u o t e: Do I need arcane resist for al'ar??
Q u o t e: Dude, this is no case of "not knowing", this is a case where common sense kicks in. The bird is made of FIRE.

Complete non-sense. Send it to the player when he connects, keep it somewhere in memory (will cost less than 1kb memory), and simply work with that. You don't need to constantly contact the server to tell if it's higher or not; you can easily pre-check it client side without any real effort.
If there's anything that requires such interacting with the servers it'd be tracking the number of kills you've made.
