I still don't think people understand what I'm trying to explain.
When I turn multisampling on in (X4) World of warcraft and play in windowed mode, WoW will lag (1 fps) when I attempt to access my windows XP start menu bar. My FPS will go back to normal once I click back on world of warcraft.
If I turn multisampling off, the lag goes away when I try to access my start menu bar.
I've searched for ages and ages to see if there is anu fixes for this... I've even tried fiddling with the ATI settings... But it's just damn strange that multisampling kicks this bug off.....
Oh and, I know I'll get some replys saying 'keep multisampling off then'. But I shouldn't have to keep it off, and WoW looks ugly without it on.
I was using a 7600GT a few weeks ago, I had maximum multisampling and I had no problems what so ever !
I think it could be an ATI or WoW bug.... I've tried different versions of drivers.
I'm running dual display and this isn't the cause for it because I've disabled my dual display and I still get the lag when I access my start menu bar.
I'd love to know how to fix this... If anyone knows please please tell me !
I'll include a screenshot so it's easier for you to understand :
