I hear it is getting removed from the game? Can anyone clarify this?

Yes they have confirmed they will be removing the bear mount. Not sure if itll go with the next content patch introducing the new talents, I guess they will decide if the new talents will drastically make getting the bear mount easier. To the idiot above, thats why they are removing the bear mount - it wouldn't be an achievment to get complete ZA in time at level 80. Whether it will with the new talents Im not sure

Edit: to the guy one post above me, your post doesnt answer his question really, although i guess the next patch isnt the lich king "going live" so maybe that means the mount will stay

As pointed out by Zaius it is going. Reason for this? How easy would it be for a raid of 80's to run through in the time limit......too easy to obtain, they are however doing a similar thing for level 80 so there will be a new mount

Edit: Typo and added Zauis as reference as he's not "above me"

Because unlike the Baron's mount, the Amani Bear is a guaranteed drop you receive for succesfully completing the timed event. It would be way too easy to get after next patch/WotLK.

Don't be silly, the source of this is a blue post. Getting a baron's mount is still hard, because it's a low droprate. 0.1% droprate means 1000 runs average, still a lot of time even at 80.
A bear mount becomes very easy at 80, and is a guaranteed drop, so it won't drop anymore once WOTLK goes live.

But the baron mount will be easy too.

I mean, think about it....the bear mount will still take some co-ordination to get, even though the bosses will be easy, the stat jump isn't as big so they will still pose a slight challenge, whereas the baron mount can be done solo, and can have multiple tries in a day, whereas the ZA bear would take 3 days per try (cos of the reset) and you fail once you have to wait.

I'm not saying it shouldn't be removed, what i'm saying is: don't compare it to the baron mount, cos i'd say they both have a similar amount of 'difficulty' acquiring them.

I've seen a LOT more bears around lately. Since they are getting removed soon many want one before it's to late, and are willing to pay indecent amounts for one, and many guilds seems to be selling bear-runs as fast as they can.

Yep, its getting removed in next patch, which will be before WoTLK.

Gather your guild mates, do runs every reset to get as many bears as you can get while you can.

Personally. I still don't see why they should even after all the explanations. And NO, I don't go reading third party sites. If your third party sites are correct information though, it appears they are replacing the bear with slightly different version. Conclusion: A bear mount will still be available albeit not the bear in question.

The bear will be replaced by something entirely different.

Sheesh, don't try to act smart if you can't even be arsed to read.

Skinning an Amani War Bear should aggro every Amani War Bears.

You will no longer be able to OBTAIN it. If you have it now you'll still have it.

I hardly think blue posts on the WoW forums can be described as "third party sites". You had no information, but chose to try to be inflammatory anyway. I think that's why people told you to shut up. :) Furthermore, the blue posts suggest that a totally different type of reward will take its place in ZA, not a different bear mount, so... you're still trying to spread disinformation. :p Yes, there will be a bear mount, but not from ZA - it will be the Polar Bear mount.
