Hello, posting for a friend of mine.

He got his account locked excactly a week ago. The same evening he sent the E- mail with the requested info you guys asked for to verify ownership. Still, he have not heard a single word from you, which of course is really frustrating for him. Atm he do not know whether his account is still in the queve or not. You can imagine his situation :P

He is really eager to play WoW again, and I would like to know if hes outta the queve or what? 1 week is a bit to much for an email reply? or not? Im just asking for some info :)

I had my account hacked and cant remember my secret answer, is it somehow possible to get the new password through other information?
Im also currently IN the account management page with my account, since i never logged out of it

If you are missing secret question/answer I think its possible to retrieve your gear through some other information, yes.

Like, they might ask for an ID- photo or payment subscription details.
Though I guess that will take another week for them to answer : /

Well I play this other Roll Playing game Before World Of Warcraft they had a bank key function to make sure you could get scammed you had to input a key (4 digits) and than wait for like 5 days to make it active. if you would like to change or remove your key you had to wait 7 days to make that active and each time you logged in to your bank wan you changed your key it asked if you were ok that your key would be deleted/Changed in 7, 6 ,5 etc day's so you easily saw you were hacked/scammed it will help to make sure your bank is safe but your stuff you wearing will still be sealable. this solve a ladle of the problem I think. (you still have to know your security answer to get back your account) but your bank will remain safe for 7 day's think that should be a nice add-on to WOW

I got my account hacked, lost all my gear.
I paged a gm, got to answer that I had to wait for someone else.

I waited over 2 days, then they deleted my ticket..now explain this to me please, cause I can't see how blizzard care for their customers anymore..

I find out this morning that my acount was haxxed also.
After 1 fooncall whit blizzard (thank you) i got my acount back,
logging and finding Lavana naked in IF. Al here gear is sold all here gold gone
all my other chars lost there gold to

So i send an in game ticket asking if i can get my gear back.
the answer was: you al ready got something back once (i sold my belt to the vendor by accident) NO you dont get anything back. with that i got the message to watch my acount acced better, grrrr
Now i'm really pissed, i dont standing in IF all day yelling my acount access around.

So what to do now?
I'm just a player who hat haxxed, but getting the idea thats not what blizzard cares about.
Rules are rules and we stick with them what ever is gonna happen.

I had my account hacked as well of today...

Logged in( my pass didn't got changed) and everything got shared/sold/send trough ... except for quest items and non sellable items.

I ticketed a GM, and he reply'd to me within the hour.
Told me, he would put me in the investigation queu and when it's my turn, they would take a look at it.

Would take up to 1 week he said.

Lets wait and see ...

I did a full virus scan with NAV 2007 and ran full scan with Ad Aware.

-How can u remove Keyloggers from your computer, and how do u even know if there is 1 on ur computer. ?
-Will it cost gold to retrieve all of ur gear ?

Today 22 September when i came back from Work my Account was hacked.
All my money was gone. Some items i had were still there. Epic mount, Quest Reward epics etc...
I already ran a Virus / Spyware scan. Could u please tell me what to do next.

Victim of hacker twice this week posting here. Lost a lot of gold and only my priest (alt 60 I may add) was stripped of what she was wearing. My raiding toon was fine but goldless. All alts are now skint.
My second hack happened about 45 mins ago. Again, I was playing my priest and again I was in an instance. Despite my best sfforts to stop this, nothing is working.

Maybe now is the time for Blizz to implement a secret question for the password retrieval/changing process? Just another security conscious person who would like to be able to play safe.

This is an obvious problem and seeming i dont think there are many key logging software out there especially ones dedicated to hacking WoW accounts i think maybe blizzard should identify the ones involved and help us find out if it is still on our computers e.g (tell us where the common hiding place for these files are like c:\WINDOWS\system32\imagayhack.exe) and help us delete them.

My account got hacked today at 8 am according to blizzard billing support service, i got my account back, in stormwind completely naked .. i look like a right pillock, anyway contacted one of the game masters and they reasure me that my account is gonna be investigated.. (not sure what the investigation is about maybe so they realise im not faking it) but im happy with waiting for what seems like a week or so.

Im just worried weither this key logger is still on my system. ive scanned my hd with nod32 no virus's used adaware no adware scanned for spyware guess what none ... im worried weither its a key logger any of my protection software cant find.

is there any links with my query ive carelessy cant be bothered to look for ?

I also think blizzad should keep us more up to dated on what they are actually doing with our accounts, even if it is like 2 hours or so thats past since the last time i contacted them, i dont like the waiting if im not being informed on anything.

Ok...i log in after going out. Or at least, i wanted to. I kept getting this "wrong password" message. So i retrieved my email+pw and got a little worried about this, with the message of "look out for scammers" standing next to the log in screen.
So i retrieved the PW, logged in and see all characters gone exept those horde chars on Dentarg, which i dont play anyway. I sure hope blizz can do a rollback on the data, because this sucks. Its like my free time investment (my character was just becoming powerful) has all been thrown away.

Ouch that is harsh, dont beileve they did that ... all they did to me was strip my character bare, im sure blizzard can do something about it :), though i dont think you will be getting the exact same char you have been lvling for all these days, they might have make a complete new one and set commands to make it the same lvl it was before then get all your items back.
