In 2.4 I think you managed to change the casting behaviour of pets. Hunter pets always cast a growl it it was possible to do so. This is no longer true. As a result, a cat with claw and growl will, when low on focus, cast only claw - and never growl. Claw used to be considered "a good way to use a pet's spare mana", often referred to as a focus-sink. Now, I think it's become a good way for your pet to lose aggro. My tests clearly shows you can spell-lock a pet so that it never growls. I'm pretty sure this wasn't true pre-2.4.

This unannounced change is probably the reason we have posts all over the EU and US hunter forums complaining about pets after the patch.

-If this is a change, would you please inform the hunter community?
-If this is a bug, can we get this acknowledged?

didn't you make a thread about this the other day that the GM's moved to hunter forums?

To have a right to do a thing is not at all the same as to be right in doing it.

Hi Bratty.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. There is an issue where 'damage dealing' pet abilities have inconsistent casting priority over Growl, and we will have it resolved in a future content update to avoid any future confusion or problems. I am sorry for the inconvenience caused by this.

Xaldavan.
