0. Arena Tournament || Republic of Ireland 30/03/2008 23:33:58 PDT
Did you guys think the Republic of Ireland is part of the United Kingdom while writing the rules? Please tell me you did?
Just this once? :(
Tell me you made a mistake pleaaaaaaaaaaaase!
Because as far as I know [Read: not at all] our laws aren't that different from the laws in Northern Ireland, which is part of the UK.
I've been playing WoW for 3 years and think its kind of a shame that I can't participate in the arena tournament, which I have been looking forward to for ever and ever and ever.
Is there a particular reason for the exclusion of Ireland or was it just a case of not bothering to check the laws due to the amount of resources that would take against the amount of players in the country. If this is the case I would understand completely, but don't leave us in the dark :(
I find this quite hard to beleive as blizzard has a building in cork. So youd think a vast majority of their staff their would be from the republic of Ireland.
Im from Northern Ireland myself, so i dont get effected, you probably didnt want to hear that but meh there you go.
And its a well known fact guiness doesnt travel well, if you want the best pint ever youll have to go to Dublin and get one ;)

Like the French are going to know a good glass of Guiness?
I think it has something to do with the laws in Ireland which state that all competitions of this sort are not allowed unless 90% of the funds are given as a political donation to an offshore bank account belonging to the present government, or their wife, or friend, or friend of a friend who is a builder.
Other than that, it's probably just because someone in Blizz Europe has something against the Irish, as usual.
