Did I miss something in the patchnotes or have I been extremely lucky?

After the patch suddenly Misdirect has failed on a few occations - making pulling in Karahzan a real gamble!
Latest use was on the Prince and instead of going for the tank - WHAM - a very dead hunter.
Anyone else experiencing the same?

Had the same problems, as did my class leader. It seemed to us that only the first shot was being misdirected, so we'd send 1 shot's worth of aggro to the tank and then 2 onto us.

I never got the chance to fire three shots.

I started off with a arcane shot - the Prince went straight for me, and then in desperation I tried a scatter shot. And then there were no time to feign.

Really do not dare pulling with misdirection now, If I get taken out in the middle of a bossfight we loose a lot of DPS. Feels really wrong if the hunter lvl 70 spell suddenly gets useless!

I have experienced the same as Vitaropago; the two first shots misdirect aggro correctly, while the last one is broken.

I really hope they can fix this quickly, because in raids this bug can really mess up if you don't manage to cancel MD before the last shot.

The third shot is credited to the hunter, but what is worse, the third shot sometimes makes the previous two shots also agro for the hunter. It happened to me, fired first two shots and my name wasnt on the agro-meter, then fired the third shot, and suddenly i was on top of the list.

Yeah same here. Most of the time, the first two shots seem to work with misdirection but the third won't. I used MD on Nightbane yesterday every time he was about to land, shot two shots and then removed the misdirect debuff. It worked perfectly.

However, I've pulled in other places in KZ and got extremely weird results on the odd occasion.

From what I saw MD stays on tank only for a few seconds, so you might missdirect 2 shots, 1, or none at all depending on how fast you shot. That's why MD + a quick multi on a pack always works and atm is the only MD scenario I'm using. So I think the problem is MD not having it's full 30 sec lenght (on the MD target). Anyway it's buggy as h3ll atm so just stop using it for the time being.

yust for clarification about misdirect.

you fire only 2 times, be at your own risk to fire your 3rd charge.

if your 3rd charge doesn't crit (you 2 previous didn't crit ether). you are fine else you are %@@%ed.

DO NOTE:

on nightbane this is yust so broke that your FD must be rdy to be used (and if that fails hope you got detterence).

on nightbane i managed to get aggro always pretty fast when MD was used. yust fire once... maby twice so 1-2 charges are consumed... the rest is up to your tank.

Yeah I have had some strange results outside Kara too, Thorngrin the Tender in The Botanice was also rather messed up. And I remember now that the 2 first shots worked and then suddenly all the threat was directed to me the last shot.
The bug/resist on the mobs seem to be completely random though. I wonder if there is something new in the patch that has made Misdirection resistable.
It would be nice to get a resist warning at the least.
But then again, we are back to clumpsy tank pulling for now, I do not dare using MD at the moment!

Misdirection is only transferring threat from the first two sources of damage done by the hunter. This is a known issue and will get fixed in an upcoming patch.

really glad to hear its known about and will be fixed :D its horrible when the third shot is a nice big multishot on a boss pull and you end up with a new colour set of trousers

Theres no need to make the prince pull by a hunter anyway....Best time to use misdir imo (apart from mid battle to boost war threat) is when their is multiple targets.

For example, 1 hunter misdirecting maulgar onto MT and another misdir warlock ogre onto OT.

No.
Misdirection is listed as one of the fixes for the 2.1.2 patch, which is currently on the PTR.

Good to hear misdirect is getting fixed, was slightly annoying.

Any news on FD? Or less importantly perhaps the pet aggro on dismount?

**Edit: Oh, i had this one mob melee swinging at me, and midswing i trapped him, and didn't take any damage. I then ran to approx. 35 yards range and shot him, breaking the trap. At that moment i took the melee damage from 35 yards away :o. Is this new?

And lightning breath scaling was also hot'fixed' since it was SO gamebreaking.

Another bug that needs to be fixed:

Kill Command executing when you pet is out of range from your target without doing damage. It takes mana and starts the cooldown on Kill Command. I doubt this is intended. It's the same like a rogue losing energy for trying to backstab when he's not behind his target.
