0. 05/02 New cooking recipes for Patch 2.4 05/02/2008 11:42:11 PST
We have added two new cooking recipes for Patch 2.4: Charred Bear Kabobs and Juicy Bear Burgers. Both new recipes can be purchased from either Bale (Horde) or Malygen (Alliance) in Felwood. The recipes require 250 skill to learn, and use meat added to level 48-56 bears. This means it will no longer require fish to skill up your cooking to 300.
Juicy Bear Burger: Requires Level 45. Use: Restores 1933 health over 27 sec. Must remain seated while eating. If you eat for 10 seconds will also increase your damage and healing from magical spells and effects by up to 14 for 15 min.
Charred Bear Kabobs: Requires Level 45. Use: Restores 1933 health over27 sec. Must remain seated while eating. If you eat for 10 seconds will also increase your attack power by 24 for 15 min.

Why did you not add new recipes for us healers? - Since there is only one fish to fish for (Golden Darter), while classes that consume food to increase there dps have loads of recipes to choose from. They also have the option to either kill mobs for meat or fish for it, while we don't.

Q u o t e:
Not really, i've just finally had enough of being ignored and beaten down by devs and cms after 2 years of playing the class , having threads that have constructive content locked, because the cm doesnt have answers.
If you've played this game for 2+ years, you should know by know how it works. There is no balance. There is no justice. WoW is just a silly little game with no higher purpose. If you don't find enjoyment in it, then don't play, because it's obvious by now what the standards for the game are.

Q u o t e: I can bearly wait.
Bravo! But back on topic; Id like more recipes to increase pet stats. There are (I think) only 2 at the mo, and while nice, Id like more. Or maybe you could introduce food that increases certain resistances or something? Cos I dont think there are any that do that right now.

These are obviously meant for the lower levels as the bonuses on the +dmg food are lower than the stuff lvl 70 people use (23 spelldamage vs these). Ok, there is no lower level healing food but I think the majority of future healers do level with some kind of damage spec.
As for lvl 70 stuff: for casters there's the +dmg food and a spellcrit food. Healers have mp5 food, +heal food and a pala might have use for the spellcrit one. About the same amount of choises there.
Or are you referring to the melee foods (stamina, agi, str, crit, hit, ap)? Then you actually might have a point.

Folks, please.
This new recepies are very usefull because they fill the gap (that was introduced by mistake) for people to level their cooking skills without fishing. Not only that, this are 2 cool recepies but, if they gave no buff what so ever, they would still be welcomed.
Yes, I can understand that some more buffs (or a different way to get them) would be welcome by some people but, why not continue Highlander's work and do a profession review of cooking (or wait for him to do such a topic)?
The quoted example is a perfect sugestion for such thread.

Will this new +healing/+spell damage food mean that also the high-level +spell-damage food (like Crunchy Serpent) will give a +healing bonus? that would be sooo nice ...
