One of the US realms' most famous Tankadins is arranging a special PvP event on his home realm (Stormreaver US), and is encouraging other realms (and regions, EU included) to run the event simultaneously.
It's pretty much summed up in the above video, but here's a text version for your convenience:

'CAPTURE THE ISLAND' PVP EVENT AT LOCH MODAN
DATE: Wednesday, 19th December
TIME: 6pm and 7pm (Server time), or 5pm and 6pm GMT
- At 6pm, everyone is to gather at their faction's designated town inn (Kharanos for Alliance, Kargath for Horde). This is when the pre-fight party begins.
- At 6:45pm, players will march from the inn to their designated island in Loch Modan. The Horde will occupy the Northernmost island in the region, while the Alliance will camp out on the island just South of the Horde's one.
- At 7pm, the game begins. Your objective is to dominate the other faction's island without your own island being overrun.

Please use this thread to designate one referee per faction. Referees should have a 'star' raid/group icon above their head during the event. They are to lead the partygoers from the inn to the Loch on-foot, and will stand on the opposite faction's island to judge the state of the battle.

If you think it's necessary, please create a thread on your realm's forum and post a link here. This will help with recruitment and organisation among your fellow realm dwellers, while the link from here will let people quickly check the event status across multiple realms.
After the event, please also post links to any footage you took; I will gather the links in the post below alongside your realm's name and state the winning faction.
