Blizzard is attending Dreamhack Winter 2007, in Jönköping, Sweden, one of the world's largest computer festivals. Dreamhack runs from November 29th to December 2nd.

World of Warcraft Trading Card Game
Saturday afternoon you'll have a chance at facing Blizzard in the WoW card game. We should have pre-made starter decks available (both for you and us) for those who don't have a deck of their own, and a more challenging deck for hose having decks of their own.

You'll find us next to the Extreme Masters booth in Hall C, just to the right when entering from Hall D. You can find us there as soon as the setup is ready and to 19:00.

Levelling contest
We'll be arranging a levelling contest at Dreamhack, the goal being to see who can attain the highest level and most extra XP in 20 minutes. The sign-up is scheduled to start on Thursday evening (location will be given later), and depending on the number interested in proving their speed-levelling skills and secure themselves some nice World of Warcraft merchandise there might be qualifying rounds before the final rounds on Saturday evening.

Intel® Extreme Masters
8 top-ranked World of Warcraft Arena teams are invited to compete in the international Intel® Extreme Masters Season II through collaboration between ESL, Intel, Blizzard and Dell.

The tournament will take place on November 29th and 30th. The eight teams are
Evil Geniuses
Fnatic

Sorry if i am sounding a bit noobish but is there any way to watch these matches online when they start? , like any site streaming this for free??

I know blizz that this subject has been up before but i am taking this oppurtunity to bring this up once more..
Wouldnt it be like UBER COOL in the future if i would be able to watch these kind of matches trough some wow-tv-thing ingame in wow??
I think you named it "arena-tv" last time i heard you talking about this.

Think for sure this would be a very cool feature that many, many players would appreciate and use regulary! :) , not just for events like this but if it was possible to watch the top rated teams in each server/battleground etc i would for sure use it aswell! :)

Used to be able to watch counter-strike matches on what was called HLTV (half life tv)
Recorded a match with a 20 second delay but was still good

Erm. How did the qualification to this happen?

Disengage
15 sec cooldown (with talents+gear), melee range only, stuns the target for 3 seconds and moves hunter 25 yards away kinda like Rocket Boots. Would require a switch to Aspect of the Monkey.

Blizzard, the fact you are even posting this news on the European forums is an insult to the competitive PVP scene

Hey there, I'm working on the Dreamarena project at Dreamhack, and I'm not 100% sure. but everything else will be broadcasted live so I don't see why they wouldn't stream the wow tournament aswell. I've been told ESL is going to borrow our broadcasting equipment, and the streaming technology will be Octoshape
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Octoshape , Which I believe is the same tech' used at Blizzcon.

Its an abondoned tournament originaly privately hosted by the wsvg, with help from blizzard - an event in america and therefor mostly or only american teams

those are the teams that are left in the tournament that were supposed to play the finals at dreamhack since long ago,

I 100% agree with that link. Also, I think its so silly how they keep going on with saying that some of these teams are the best teams in the world. I just dont understand how you can qualify someone from early in s1. First of all, 90% of the good rated teams back then was ppl that went hard-core PvE and had t4 + deep thunder etc.

Imo, they should make a new qualification tournament since its just way too many ppl that didnt take the beginning of s1 serious that is doing really good in arena now.

That would be for another thread, as it's not really related to Dreamhack itself. :)

This is an event in Europe, hence it's very relevant to these forums. The thread will be updated with other information too. Also, please see Timurthelol's post above.

Edit: the team list has been updated.

I was just being a little ambiguous in case someone started arguing about whether and how to count visitors, exhibitors, floor space, etc. ;)
