What is Ebon Flame?
EF is one of the oldest guilds on the server, founded on December 7th 2005. Ever since these early beginnings, raiding has been one of the core tenets of the guild, reaching such milestones as downing Nefarian in Blackwing Lair before Burning Crusade, gaining attunement to Mount Hyjal and Black Temple (Before they were removed, that is), defeating Illidan before patch 3.0 and managing to compete with the top five guilds on the server during Tier 6 content in the Burning Crusade.
Our current raiding schedule is divided between 25m and 10m raiding, with three nights a week of official guild raiding devoted to the 25m content. 10 man content is not guild managed, but two teams currently run on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
Ebon Flame also functions as a basis for serious roleplaying, and our raiding efforts have always been tied in to some sort of RP plot. We usually have an "epic plotline" concerning guild raiding and leadership, and encourage side plots developed by individual guild members.
Lastly, Ebon Flame is just a friendly place to be in. We accept only mature, social, team players and as such we offer a place to hang out and have a talk or a laugh when you want to do just that.
Who are we looking for?
Currently, we're mainly looking for people with a keen interest in the raiding aspect of the game. We seek skilled and dedicated people who are willing and able to handle the expectations of endgame raiding. At the same time, an acceptance of the server guidelines is an absolute must. Actual participation in roleplaying is less important, but always encouraged.
We will accept applications for both 25m and 10m raiding, but you should note that 25m is the primary guild focus, and as such an interest in that will get you further.
This list will be updated to reflect what we are most interested in recruiting. Be aware however that we are always interested in exceptional applicants, even if your class is not listed as open for recruitment. If you think that’s you, then feel free to make an application.

There are guilds on Moonglade if you want to devote your life to 24/7 progress raiding in the sole pursuit of the latest tier of epics, and there are guilds if you just want to sit by the campfire telling stories.
The Ebon Flame shows it's possible to have a very successful third type of guild - one which combines an engaging storyline and an atmosphere rich in inclusive roleplay, with a great and long-lived community of welcoming people, with relaxing but professional raiding in a friendly and rewarding environment.

Ten thousand years ago, the folly of the Highborne invited the demons of the Burning Legion into our world. The nations of ancient Kalimdor banded together to battle this tide of darkness and only by the Sundering of the very world were they able to repell the invaders. This age of strife would forever be known as the War of the Ancients.
During the course of the War, subjects of the Queen Azshara revered the demons they summoned as Gods, believing the blight they unleashed upon the world to be their salvation. However, a tiny fraction of the mighty Highborne society saw the error in their ways. They unmasked their demonic masters for who they truly were: unnatural, unholy, parasitic beings seeking to destroy all life on Kalimdor. Desperately trying to rid themselves of the demonic taint they saw was corrupting their brethren, these rebellious Highborne pleaded to the skies for redemption. As the ancient legend goes, the Goddess Elune herself granted these forlorn Elves salvation: she bestowed upon them a sacred flame with which they would cleanse their souls and bodies of the demonic corruption. In the Flame that was ebony black yet burned brighter than any star, their souls were cleansed, the spirits purified. In return they swore an oath, not to any leader of Elves, nor to any deity - But to the lands of ancient Kalimdor herself.
For nearly ten thousand years the Order stood true to its oath, protecting Kalimdor whenever the need arose. From the forests of Ashenvale to the deserts of Silithus, from the jagged coastlines of Azshara to the blighted groves of Felwood, they fought against anything and anyone that they viewed as a threat to Kal'Dorei society. Then came the Third War. The second coming of the Burning Legion, the terrible consequences of their millenia-old error catching up with them. While Tyrande's newfound Orcish and Human allies provided the first lines of defense, the Ebon Flame gathered near Nordrassil. They would give their lives to keep Archimonde at bay for long enough...
In the end it was a victory for the mortal races of Azeroth, albeit one bought with the blood of tens of thousands of life amongst them the Order of the Ebon Flame, for it appeared that the Order was all but eradicated by the Burning Legion...
