  • 0. Druid Talent Specs (1.12)   24/08/2006 14:04:31 PDT
quote reply
I'm posting this thread mainly to help out the fellow druid community, and also to get more ideas of how to spec my own character. I'd really love to try out my Moonkin spec I have posted down in this thread, but I don't have the gear to do so, since I'm a Feral guy with decent Feral-gear and lots of Restoration gear.

If anyone has any comments or suggestions, for new specs or the ones I have posted, I'd love for you to post them here so we can make the best specs for any kind of Druid. :P

Major Heal bot - ?/?/44
http://www.wowhead.com/talent/?0ZZxEcqeqVo
Got every healing talent in this spec. I haven't chosen the last 7 points because that's totally up to your self. If you don't like subtlety though, you can go with Omen of Clarity Healer spec visible below.

Omen of Clarity Healer - 12/0/39
http://www.wowhead.com/talent/?0t0V0oZZxEcoeqVo
Got all healing talents needed plus Nature's Focus and Imp. Regrowth for the Regrowth-lovers. I skipped Subtlety though, mainly because I used to have this spec, and I did fine without Subtlety. As a Druid, if you get aggro, you can just go to bear form anyway, and most of the time, you survive.

Healer spec - 17/0/34
http://www.wowhead.com/talent/?0x0VIoZZxEcoeq0o
Has all the healing talents required, plus Nature's Focus, to be a main-healer in any raid. Omen of Clarity is a requirement IMO, because if you ever run out of mana, just run in and melee and you can cast free heals while you're regenerating mana. The way you spend the last 17 talents is actually up to you. I just chose an example.

Mana Conservative healer - 24/0/27
http://www.wowhead.com/talent/?0x0xhMxsZZxEc0eo
This build has Moonglow and Nature's Grace. Moonglow reduces mana on your healingspells, and Nature's Grace reduces the casting time of your spells by 0.5 seconds when you crit with a spell. This build is mostly used for mana conservation in instances. In my opinion, this is a really good spec if you like to spam heals and still never run out of mana. It's a little of taste of which talents you actually choose in the Balance and Restoration trees. - Credits to Solavar for this spec.

The Manaburner - 21/0/30
http://www.wowhead.com/talent/?Mx0E0oLoZZxxcscaV
This spec burns your mana really fast. Got Improved Regrowth and Nature's Grace for reduced healing time whenever you crit. Regrowth costs $!@%loads of mana to cast, thus this spec will burn your mana really fast. - Credits to Shayelee for this spec

Heart of the Wild healer - 0/30/21
http://www.wowhead.com/talent/?MZxxxccMbxxxf0xo
I chose a Bear tank for this spec, but you can of course choose to be a Catform DPSer as well if you want, it's all a matter of preferrence. In my spec I chose Tranquil Spirit instead of the popular Nature's Focus. The reason for this is because you barely take damage when you're healing in raids. At least I don't.

PVP Healer - 5/12/34
http://www.wowhead.com/talent/?zzLZxMLoZxEcoeq0o
Got all healing talents needed, NG + Improved and Feral Charge in the Feral Tree. Also got 4/5 Thick Hide for extra armor because healers seem to pull lots of aggro in BGs.

Feral/Main healer - 0/20/31
http://www.wowhead.com/talent/?zZxg0s0rZxxfoeq0o
This has the Feral talents needed for you to be able to actually kill mobs in less than 30 years. I've grinded lots with this build, and it's really good. Though, grinding with Heart of the Wild is alot better, with this build you will run out of mana after a while. Got all healing talents needed to max out your heals.

Healer/Back-up tank - 4/16/31
http://www.wowhead.com/talent/?zkbZxxMsZVE0oeoVo
This got the talents required to do tanking in end-game, and can be quite useful in PVP as well. Has all healing talents required to be a main healer in end-game raids as well. - Credits to Clovenhoof for this spec

Feral Catform PVE-DPS - 11/33/7
http://www.wowhead.com/talent/?MzLV0oZEMMsfbbtV0b
This has the Feral talents needed to be a catform DPSer in raids. I used this build when I grinded Timbermaw reputation, no downtime ever due to Heart of the Wild. I also put some "bear-talents" should you ever pull aggro and have to go Bearform.

Feral Catform PVE/PVP - 11/35/5
http://www.wowhead.com/talent/?MzLV0oZEMRsfbdtV
This spec has everything you need for max damage in catform, Omen of Clarity, Blood Frenzy etc. The point put in Thick Hide was the left-over talent.

Feral PVP - 14/32/5
http://www.wowhead.com/talent/?zzLVhoZEMMscbdtV
Natural Shapeshifter, the must for any Feral PVP build. Omen of Clarity added as well. Good for a burst-dps Shred or a free Claw. I don't take Improved Enrage or Thick Hide, because I don't consider it being required.

Feral Bear Tank - 11/33/7
http://www.wowhead.com/talent/?MzLV0oZxxxscMdtV0b

This has the Feral talents needed to be a Bear tank in raids. Faerie Fire (Feral) for pulling, Omen of Carity for that extra damage and Primal Fury for extra rage when you crit, which is quite a lot if you have decent crit gear.

NG/Heart of the Wild PVP - 1/29/21
http://www.wowhead.com/talent/?MzZxTMscbdLVEso0o
This spec is another version of the Heart of the Wild healer-spec that can also be used for PVP. Added Nature's Grasp, and removed one point from the Heart of the Wild talent. This can also be talented the way you want it, to be more Bear or Catform oriented. This could maybe use some polishing though. - Credits to Athinira for this spec

Moonkin Form 1 - PVE DPS - 37/0/14
http://www.wowhead.com/talent/?0tcxzMEstZxxco
Experimental build I'd love to try out one day. Got all the talents required for max dps potential I hope. If anyone have ever been a Moonkin and has any complains over this spec, please post it.

Moonkin Form 2 - PVE DPS - 37/0/14
http://www.wowhead.com/talent/?0xMxhMEstZxVco
An improved version of the one featured above. I dropped a few talents, and made some changes. Added Natural Shapeshifter for mana conservation in "sticky situations" and also changed Imp. HT to Nature's Grace. The only thing that's left is the 2/3 Imp. Ent Roots. They are only there because those two are "leftover" talents, so I just put them somewhere. It's kind of up to you what to do with them if you decide to spec Moonkin!

Moonkin Form 3 - DPS - 35/0/15
http://www.wowhead.com/talent/?Mxcx0MEstZxgco
It has all Balance talents required for max damage output as a moonkin, Improved Mark of The Wild for raiding. This could also be used nicely in PVP, the only letdown is that you don't have NG + Improved, but you can well survive without it as long as you have healers. - Credits to Morwyn for this spec.

Moonkin Nuker PVP - 35/11/5
http://www.wowhead.com/talent/?Mxcx0MEstxx0oZV
This spec has all the required Balanace talents for maximum damage as a Moonkin, plus it also got talents in the Feral tree, Feral Charge and also Furor. - Credits to Tjejen for this spec.

Moonkin Support Spec - 38/0/13
http://www.wowhead.com/talent/?MxcxcMEstZxVc
Got all Balance talents required to be able to do good Moonkin damage, also has Imp. Ent Roots and Improved Thorns for more 5-man oriented playing.

The talents in Restoration is really good for PVE healing as well, even though you're Moonkin specced. Credits to Moostafa for this spec.

Balance Damage/Heal PVE - 29/0/22
http://www.wowhead.com/talent/?Mxcx0MEsZZxec0xo
This has almost every talent in Balance for Damage, and all the required healing talents. Of course, this spec can also be tuned the way you want it, e.g. choose NG and 2/5 Imp. NG if you want to be a PVPer. The 3/5 in Nature's Focus is just a pass-through talent. - Credits to Ravenblade for this spec.

Balance PVP Spec - 29/11/11
http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=Mtoxh0EsZxMhoZVV0o
This spec has all the talents required for PVP and for high damage output with your balance spells. Natural Shapeshifter for reduced mana whenever you have to shapeshift, Nature's Grasp for those annoying pets/rogues, Nature's Focus for barely any interruptions while casting a heal. - Credits to Tamarkyn for this spec.

Not sure if this spec was included on the old forums. It is quite heavily geared towards pvp healing and wsg flag running.

Options include dropping feline swiftness or dropping imp ng and going for imp wrath instead. Core talents in it are natural shapeshifter, feral charge, ns, imp regrowth and swiftmend.

The 33-0-18 Spec (Good for some casual PvP and very nice PvE Healing)
http://www.wow-europe.com/en/info/basics/talents/druid/talents.html?51235000025513010000000000000000505103100300000

Currently using a 36-0-15 spec , but as Moonfury still only increases base spell damage , it's not worth the 5points. Will change as soon as i get the money to do it :)

Can also recommend the 29-0-22 spec , with that you probably outheal a "Full Resto" in long fights...

Edit: Somehow seemed to have lost part of my post ? (Fixed now)

Those are nice PVE DPS cat form builds but i prefer taking some talents in Natural Shapeshifter to increase burst damagea via powershifting. Its also increasing our viability in long fights where u shift to heal etc. Anyway here´s mine PvE Cat DPS Build with Powershifting :)

Nice post anyway, /stick it! :p

Sticky this one.

Btw, you forgot the 0/30/21 feral hybrid build? You named one 'HotW healr' but hm, it should be more hybrid like. (talent calc doesn't seem to work here so can't make one atm.)

This 24/0/27 build is in my opinion the best Balance/Resto spec out there.
http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=Mxcx0MEsZZxec0xo

Basically the above build is not only high on mana conservation for main healers (PvE), but the 2 talent points in Improved Regrowth means that your Nature's Grace will proc more often.

It's a strong PvE and caster PvP build.

Edit: something went wrong with URL...?

  • Its does much Dps in PvE and PvP, but u are at the same time a good healer. I think it is a good balance between Balance and Restro.
