We have been able to gather a little more information which should answer some of your questions:

The swift (armored) Netherdrake which is a seasonal arena reward will be a 310% speed flying mount.

The (unarmored) Netherdrake will be obtained through a quest (which is planned to be implemented in a future patch) and will be a 280% speed flying mount. This Netherdrake is intended to supply players with a cool new epic mount and won't require any tasks within raid encounters. It's a reward that all players can work towards, but it will still be difficult to obtain.

There is another mount that is 310% speed that is yet undiscovered which is intended to be an equally rare and difficult to obtain equivalent to the arena reward.

That's the only information we're able to give at this time.

I agree. I think it is time that some other class than Warlocks and Paladins should get a class-specific mount.

I believe hunters and shamans (with their closer connection to the environment) are an easy choice.

Not asking for any hints, just curious about whether it's actually in-game as we speak.

The Netherdrake will be available through a quest line which has not yet been implemented. It's likely that it will be implemented with the next major content patch.

Of course you will need to pay the 5000g needed for the epic flying skill. We dont get away that easy =)

Hi Bouncer,

I think you might have missed a small, but very important, part in this.

The question you are responding to is asking about an extra mount* that has 310% speed - the same as the armoured netherdrake that is awarded to the best arena team per season. It's already been made clear in this topic that the 280% netherdrake is currently not in-game - hence why the person you are quoting asks "Is this mount currently available in-game, or will it be in a future patch?"

I've got a funny feeling that it's going to take a blue post to clear that one up.... or some very lucky person with the proper screenie to post.

Peep the Phoenix Mount - Summons and dismisses a rideable phoenix named Peep. This is a very fast mount

I married her daughter, I get to ride her without doing to quest chain..................it aint that good.
