Did you download the patch through a some mirror or the official Blizzard Downloader?

Update: We found a fix for this, the problem isn't actually the wow.exe file in your warcraft directory, it's a version of it inside the base-enUS.MPQ file.

To fix it, you need a 2.05 retail version of the base-enUS.MPQ file. A link will be posted here once we get it uploaded, feel free to post a link on this thread if you manage to upload it. Download it, and overwrite your base-enUS.MPQ file, in your Burning Crusade\Data\enUS folder.

For reference, the file sized are:

old base-enUS.MPQ: 16,471,970
retail base-enUS.MPQ: 16,551,051

he also uploaded this file (just read the linked thread) - of course only the us version. what we need is a 2.0.5 retail version of this file:

base-enGB.MPQ

i think a lot of TBC beta client users will be very happy, if someone can upload this file :)

I copyed my 2.0.5 mpq file to a safe place b4 the patch

I uploaded the flie to filefront

DL this one and replace the file located within the data/enGB/ directory.

I fixed my problem, basically you need someone with a retail verison of the client to send you
base-enGB.MPQ from the 2.0.5 client before they patch. I got someone in my guild to do it for me
