Hey, i wonder if any other then just me got the problem login in to PTR with battle.net account?

or do i need Normal world of warcraft account for it?

If you converted ur account recently chances are u'll only be able to use ur old account details to login happened to me to.

Well I can't login with my both logins.. (battle.net or old one) I converted my account for like 2 months ago... any ideia how to solve this problem?

Also having this.

Logging in with my old account details gives me a message saying I've converted to a B.net account (which I have) so I need to log in with that. But, if I try to log in with that (using the same details I did to log in before to patch the client) I get invalid username/password errors.

Any chance of a response on this? I merged my WoW/B.Net accounts months ago.

Yeah im getting the same message, ive just finished patching now and when i try to log in i get :

"There is no World of Warcraft Game account associated with this Battle.net account"

Same here, after hours and hours of patching....

Still can't login.

I get a "incorredt user/password" after entering my password and authenticator code. It works fine on live *shrug*

ETA: It's a battle.net account and I've had the game account attached to it since it went live.

I should probably go troll the US PTR forum, just to see how long it would take me to get an answer over there >_>

I haven't changed a thing on my Battle.net account :< It just stopped working out of the, erh, blue *shrug*

Only 'recent' thing that's changed is my merger with Battle.net when it first went live.

There are several posts in this thread explaining that nobody has changed anything recently.

Also, why is it possible to get far enough with the login process to be able to download the latest patch? Surely this must mean the details entered are correct...

There has been maintenance on the battle.net system,
maybe this has something to do with your problems.

Incidently, it looks like there's been some sort of change. Earlier, it would direct me to the wow-europe.com error pages, now it's directing me to the worldofwarcraft.com error page *shrug*

Nope, still doesn't work.

My problems hasn't got anything to do with the PTR, I didn't download it or anything. I was playing and saw the notice that i should merge, so I did. I only merged my account with a battle.net account. And after this i couldn't log in anymore, got 'Unable to validate game version' message.

OK Ive copied what is says on the FAQ for u guys here :

"Invalid Username or Password

You may not be able to get onto the PTR if you have changed your password or converted to Battle.net in the last few weeks. You can try to use an old password or account details but there's no guarantee this will work. Also, only those players who have had their accounts active for at least 7 weeks before a testing phase starts will be able to log in to the Public Test Realm Client. "

This is why people should read the FAQ before patching :D
