How much gold can a single character carry, and how much gold, can u possible have in a guildbank, and what happens if u reach the cap on the character, and the gb? :)

I have read that the cap for a character is 214,748 gold, 36 silver, 48 copper.

I too recall a thread in which players and pandas were trying to work out roughly how long it would take someone to spend 214,748 gold, 36 silver, 48 copper by only buying and selling stacks of Refreshing Spring Water -- with a latency of 100ms, factoring in sleep (at a set duration), eating (reduced speed of selling and buying having only one hand to do it (one to eat of course)), personal hygiene routines, average maintenance times and other variables I can't remember.

I'm not sure they ever came to a conclusion. =)

Since it's higher than the player gold limit (2^31 copper) it's probably 2^63 copper = 922337203685477 gold. Seems they're using a 64-bit signed int instead of a 32-bit signed int for guildbanks.

I had to send gold to alts else I get "At gold limit" when people try to trade me gold

Actually had someone who traded me 12500g for the MotorChopper materials, I then crafted it for him and gave it to him

Noticed next day that I didn't recieve the gold due to beeing a the limit, even though trade lighted green like a success (I didnt think more about it, and didnt notice the red "At gold limit" text in top of screen). He was honest though and handed me the money the day after when I contacted him.

After that day I have been resting on 200k on my main while alts hold the rest of my fortune. Next goal is 1million and I guess that have to be in a bank (Chars should have access to their own bank where you could store gold tbh), with interest and such !!!
