No, they won't ask for your account details. You had best change your details just in case.
EDIT: "We ask you to NOT change password until the investigation is fully completed. " made me chuckle.
... Just might take them a few years, but oh yes they will close it*.
*might coincide with the closing of the wow servers, this is purely coincidental.
Thecowking, on his still active account. Not the account that's inactive, obviously.

hehe i remember when i fell for this one a couple years ago when i was a lot more naive. Although i only fell for it because I was actually trying to sell my account at that time :D

*gasp!* BANHAMMER!
Sorry I couldn't help it.
Q u o t e: Hmm... I looks like you have caught a nasty case of ineedtolearntoplayitis. It might be a good idea to consult a doctor or a proper PvP guide.
There are a few "clues" in these kind of mails....
* Why would Blizzard tell you they are thinking of banning you when normally they just do without asking/telling upfront.
* Why would they not only ask you for your password, but also for your CD-key, secret question, adress, email etc, when in-game tips clearly state they DON'T do that.
* Why would they ask you NOT to change your password? They don't need it and can change it at will, that's why they never need to ask you for it....
* Why would you get mail from Accounts in the US, when you are playing in EUR?
Look at the email adress it was sent to. Is it yours? Good chance ti is not, or there are more adresses. Why would they sent that mail to several adresses?
* Look at the properties of the links in these mails. Ten to one they don't take you to the adress they show at first glance.
But the biggest pointer is ALWAYS the password. They NEVER ask you as others before me have kindly try to bring to your attention ;) .........
No one can offend you.... You can only let yourself GET offended.....
