As a paladin i've had the painful experience of having to decide between healer DPs and tank.

Healer can't solo
DPS is extremely boring
Tank can't PvP

Now, why can't I have all three? I used to be specced up to 40, which was just fine for PvE (AoE) and couldn't wait to get ret spec at 40 so I could DPS also, however, although it does good damage, it's just FCFS on the cooldowns. So, I respecced the ret to holy @ 65, and now I can't deal any damage in PvP since prot is a joke for single target and non computers.

I propose tri spec should be made available at level 80, costing a large sum like 10,000 gold to make it more attractive for a main character, but not totally out of reach. It's also a good money sink for blizzard, and it means I don't have to shut out a certain portion of the game whilst levelling my paladin.

Blizzard will eventually cave in to reason and give tri-specs. Just give it a year or so.

Can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not.
Please explain.
Tanking Drek is PvE, FYI.

And poster 2 (sorry don't know how to multiquote on these forums), why do we need to pick and choose, it just makes no sense to me why we must lock away certain parts.

Protection paladins have been the dominating healers in arena for a short period.

And protection is good against some classes, while DPS might be better against others.etc.

Prot warrior and prot paladins are hardest to kill atm. It's not even hard to play with them, since a mistake won't kill you, just drop your health by 20% or so.

I find it funny when rogues do 0 damage on me after I pop shield block.

"Bound to account"...means you cannot give it to a character not on your account. It means absolutely nothing more than that.

Even if this is true, I spec 51 into prot, so the build to heal in arena would probably be unsuitable for PvE tanking full-time, so I'll clarify my point.

PvE specced tanks can't PvP at all, since we're crushed by caster classes by nature.

PvE dps spec =/= PvP dps spec
PvE tank spec =/= PvP tank spec
PvE healer spec =/= PvP healer spec
Not only those but druids have PvP and PvE caster forms too, making it 8 different talent setups from which we are able to pick only 2... We are not getting all out of our classes which is quite annoying but hey... we have enough spec choices for every hybrid to have tank or healer spec in addition! Oh wait.. no we don't.

As a druid you should be thankful that you have access to all 4 different roles without having to reroll, let alone whining about having to respec to change your role. You have full access to every aspect of your class through the class trainer.

Blizzard want you to make choices about your character, they dont want talents to be something you change every single fight.

Dual spec was introduced purely to ease something which was already happening out of necessity, ie people hs'ing to a trainer to respec when they came to a boss that only required 1 tank or w/e. There arent realistically any situations where you'd need tri-spec so you dont have to go to a trainer.

It wasnt introduced to allow hybrids to fulfill every single class role without any effort involved in switching roles, depending on what they feel like at the time.

It is not practical to change spec just every fight as you lose all mana and some time.

I don't know about your realm, but i find tank/healer situation in pugs quite awful still on my realm. If i was to decide about it, would make that easier if trispec actually does something about it even if the effect is small. Yes i'm in quite good situation to have tank and healer spec, even a tank spec that does decent job in raid dps, it just shuts all pvp out of me without trainer.

1 Server space...all those stored specs take up space on the servers.
2 Very few people would use tri-spec. Duel spec is enough for the majority of players, and as it is a good proportion don't even use duel spec.

*note*Prices are server dependant, so what someone else makes a profit on, you may not.*note*

Posting on alts...especially low level ones...shows you have no belief in yourself or what you say.

I love pvp in pve tank gear/spec .. normally take about 4 people a few mins to kill me in AV
