Hi,

I just made a new character, a human paladin, and as i was watching the human introduction the narrator told that stormwind was ruled by the child king Anduin. I think Blizz has to update this because Varian (his father) is the king now.

if its not planned for Cataclysm then please ask the devs about thinking of re-making the intro videos for each race :) I would love to see it all updated :D

lol if by Cataclysm it isnt changed I would think the dev's have gone waaay past overlooking it :P

Maybe by the time Cataclysm is released Anduin Wrynn will be King of Stormwind again. If Varian keeps rubbing people up the wrong way, as he has been since his return, maybe someone will decide to put him out of his misery once and for all.

EDIT - Anduin is well overdue for a new character model. Please fix him:)

I'm guessing most of the Horde are probably fairly pissed at him, he's most likely not in Jaina's good books either (She'll snap and cause Azerothwide destruction one of these days) and finally judging by the number of posts regarding the spiky human hairdo and the delightful ponytailed number, there are probably some who object to his fabulous 'do.

I thought the introductory wasn't actually a cinematic, but a slow path/zoom from a point in game to your starting area (right beside your toon).. only the voice over is the extra bit.

Surely that could be fixed by re-recording them and downloading them with a future patch.

I dont think he cares about wha the horde thinks and neither do i. He's cool, he's got guts and he has every right to be angry at the horde(if you have read the comic and his lore you will know). Also he is not a bad person. He loves his people and wants to proctect them

To be honest this is what annoys me about WoW.... the fact that so much of the recent "Lore" is not in fact based on the game, but on somebody somewhere (not even necessarily a Blizzard employee) drawing cartoons.

I don't believe I ever stated that he cared (or you cared for that matter) what the Horde thought of him, just that they would probably be happier with him out of the equation. I also never said he had no right to be angry, what I was suggesting is that his actions may lead to his demise. I actually quite like him as a character, since it's a refreshing change from Jaina 'can't we all just get along' Proudmoore. I just won't be surprised if his lack of diplomacy and general hot-headedness lead to Anduin becoming King sooner rather than later.

In any case, we're in danger of de-railing the thread from it's original purpose:)

Is anything 'confirmed' through any Catclysm info that Varian will still be around? I'm pretty sure Garrosh will be, such as him chucking out non orcs+taurens from Org and stuff.

He was mentioned in Blizzcon during the Cataclysm announcement that he'll be one of the characters involved, so yeah, he's still around...
