So with all the stuff from 3.3 being announced and all, Race Change has become really quiet.
It's something I'm really REALLY looking forward to, and every week I keep hoping some blue has new info or an ETA.
I know you don't do ETA's but it would be great to let us know where we are standing with Race Change.
So please PLEASE could you enlighten us a bit more? :)

Blizzard is trying to milk out the faction change service before they implement the race change option =(

There is no new info on this and we do not yet have an ETA on it either.

Rest assured though, that we will announce it when it is ready :-)

Yea I've been wondering how far off it can really be, since they are already able to do faction changes (kinda basically the same thing?). But as pointed out by Vaneras, I guess we'll have to wait and see just how long the famous Blizz 'SoonTM' will be in this case.

Fair enough. But, as a completion to that information, can you at least tell us if it's still in the works at the moment? I mean, it's still in the high priority list and being worked on, or has been pushed aside due to the high amount of work needed for 3.3 ?

If I find myself in a fair fight, then I must have done something terribly wrong.

dosent sounds they are working to hard on it,, but anyway will we get it at the same time as US or 2 weeks after?

It must be getting closer because in 3 weeks the 60 days since the faction change was implemented and hence the first race changes will become reality. I believe the development team is just postponing its implementetion in order to calculate the consequences race change might have to the game. Blizzard while of course wants money like all companies, never sells out the integrity of its game for the sake of some fast money.

Though however i cant think of any consequences myself. After all, we can all see the developers are not seeking a balance between the races. 60% of horde is undead and blood elfs and trolls are like 10%.

The priority on this hasn't changed and It is still being worked on, so don't worry about that :-)

I know it can be frustrating to hear the word soon so often, especially when it is about something you really are looking forward to, but unfortunately soon is the best we can give you at this point in time.

Soon is somewhere between not-right-now and not-too-far-away.

i just don't get why it couldn't be implemented together with the faction change, it is most likely less complicated.

a race change is practically only a change of the racials and the character model when it is on the same faction.
