Thats easy. Trade chat. Thats how Duggy (Horde side) Got famous on this realm, but he has left our realm now. D: No properly famous people on the Alliance side.

It's what you have to say and what you do that makes people notice you. Even if you obtained the bird now - which ten levels and few patches later doesn't test anything but your luck - chances are, people will notice the mount, but not the player attached to it ;)

Becoming famous IRL with people who he/she will never know let alone meet is pretty sad too. Sure it can get you some financial gain or whatever, but really, I've no idea why anyone would want to be famous. Too many curses that come with fame.

Not famous across my realm, but among a decent range of online friends I'm know for:
a) always being ready at the summon stone to summon people
b) being incapable of surviving Heigan
