As you can see in the above link, the US blizzard reps have organized an event in which they will be using the new looking for dungeon tool to queue up for random dungeons.
As such, all players using the tool will be grouped randomly, having a chance that there will be a blue in their party.

This all seems like great fun to me, but there is one problem. Europeans don't get this event.
Anyone else feeling let down by blizzard here?

I completely agree. Not having the chance to have a blue in my group is completely detrimental to my gaming experience and is just another example of bli$$ard ignoring us Europeans. For this heinous crime, I think we should all get a free year of game time.

I think many players would feel that grouping with a blizzard employee would be special and fun, and it's another chance to show the players how nonrobot-ish you are. ;)

I heard they had some great fun at one of those^^

Q u o t e:

Just wanted to thank Xen the game designer that took some people for a 40man MC raid + a little more in there (spawned KJ, Illidan, Algalon, and heroic Hogger). It was a pretty awesome experience definitely chatting with you guys and I think it's great for Blizzard employees to get to show us WoW players what you guys are really like, and being in-game with people is even better. It was also a great time hope to see and experience it again! :)

Quite frankly I can't understand why the US and EU PTR's aren't in the same battlegroup for the purposes of testing the new dungeon matching system.

I suppose maybe there is some difference between the enUS and enGB setup. A damn shame really since this way the event could have been for everyone.

Ho hum.

As i understand it - and my latency would suggest, the EU PTRs are located in the US so they might be doing it for EU too.

I think I've played with Wryxian, at least he ran around in sheer terror every time I equipped my fishing rod.

So there is some credibility to that question.

Hey Ears, I didn't say anything about your bowling ball suddenly dividing her body mass over twice the height, so no snide remarks about failed voodoo experiments, if you please.

In truth, I may change back if I ever get my hands on a Reign of the Unliving.

Clearly you haven't played in the lag fest you'd like to call PTR.

Because there haven't been any heroic hoggers showing up in my heroics :p
(ok ok, I'll admit there was one in toc)

In all seriousness though, while I can see how you would prefer to stay anonymous in pugs,
events like the one held on the us servers (Where the gm's would make public showings and attractions)
are a great way to get people interested in the ptr, get people to try the new lfg tool, and boost overall morale.
As well as gesturing that you appreciate the time we take to test things :)

Either way, I'll be asking everyone I group with if they're a gm from now on :p

Why so shy for a public announcement then ? ;-)

If it's for spam reasons I can understand.

Quite simple, it was announced that the blues would have a <GM> in front of their name. Anyone seen such rare species in their group?

Balance is the key!

The whole point of this exercise was to get as many players using the tool as possible on the PTRs to test it out, and from all accounts, they seem to have succeeded in doing so.

It's not about US or EU, and we dont need our "morale boosted" as some poster said because quite frankly its a game we pay to play, why would you be low on morale ? stop playing if you not enjoying it that much.

So us "europeans" shouldnt be sitting here complaining about this exercise at all, its a fact the Developers live and work in the US and therefore it makes sense they would join the US PTR servers, its not favouratism, its just common sense.

PTR is for testing game changes, we pay to play on the Live Servers, complaining about something "unfair" on the Test servers just doesnt make sense.

Now, any update on when we should be expecting 3.3 ? We are having bets that its before Xmas but any hint from Mr. Crocolisk would be nice ;)
