So, when Grom drank the blood of Mannoroth, all the orcs turned green, even those that didn't drink it. Durotan turned green, Orgrim turned green, everyone did. So how is Garrosh, son of the first orc to drink the blood of Mannoroth, still brown? It's not game/lore breaking, i'm just intrested in knowing the reasoning behind it? Anyone?

i think the reason is that Garrosh was at that time in outland, and was to far away from his dad

The orcs drank the blood of Mannoroth whilst on Dreanor (Outland) before the portal was even established

It was warlock magic that turned the orcs green, not the blood of Mannoroth.

Orcs drinking the blood = turned into red fel orcs.
Garrosh (being a mag'har) never drank the blood and was thus never corrupted.

If I recall the Blood of Mannoroth would turn an Orc red, much like the Fel Orcs.

It was the Demonic Taint that turned them green.

So how did Durotan and Orgrim and Drek'That turn green also? They never drank, none of the Frostwolves did...

(I know Orgrim wasn't a Frostwolf.)

I think you may want to pay close attention to the color of the orc milkman in Garadar...

Orcs were green at the start of WoW because they were green in the original Warcraft games.. and they were green there because thats what orcs generally are.. then they tried to expand on the lore and things got weird.. my 2 coppers :p

The Mag'har were the sick (red pox) and the orphans sent away to the quarantined city of Garadar. They never had any contact with the warlocks and their demonic magics.

The orcs were green before they drunk the blood, being the warlocks the first to become green.

the correct answer to this is that you are right and blizzard just messed up (yet again).

Is your battlegroup broken? Sick of 40v10 AV?
Blizzard Europe say there is no problem. Tell them otherwise here:

How can Blizz mess it up with they explain it on the Rise of the Horde and Beyond the Dark Portal books?

Garadar was only the quarantied place of Red Pox after the first portal was destroyed, a long time after the orcs started turning green - even so, if the blood has nothing to do with the hue of the skin, you'd think that the son of someone who turned green would, in turn, turn green itself.

Thrall is the son of Durotan, both green
Garrosh, son of a green Grom, is not green

The story is that the Mag'har were all quarantined during the events of Rise of the Horde, and thus did not come into contact with any Warlock magic. The question remains why he didn't turn green after rejoining the Horde, but you could say that the fel magic in the air was much less concentrated by the time Garrosh returned from his exile.

Orcs in general turned green slowly from the fel taint in the air of Draenor during Rise of the Horde, then the transformation finished instantly upon drinking the blood of Mannoroth before going through the Dark Portal. Once they drank again years later in order to kill Cenarius it turned them red, if memory serves.

"What has happened?" Garrosh demanded, lurching to a stop beside Geyah. "Why are you here? Is it the Horde?" A strange look came over the youth's face. "Is it my—f"

A horrible wet groan rose from his throat, drowning out his words, and then Garrosh fell to his knees, gasping as blood and bile spilled from his mouth, pouring down his chin and chest and soaking into the grass below.

Yes, Garrosh was one of the infected.
