Ok so when i read the post on wow europe i saw that blizzard was making IC a 5 man. ofc i thought it was just s pre dungeon before the "real" riad came out.
But when i continued to read and saw the final boss Who was lich king. i was like "WTF!?!?". are you seriosu Blizz. are u making lich king a 5 man instance? or did i cath it wrong? ecause im not geting this. plz tell me if im wrong. cus lich king 5 man is just ridicilous

Use some common sense. The raid will still be coming out, the Lich King will appear in the 5 man, we will fight him, maybe scratch his armor a bit and he will take off where we will face his full fury in the raid. It's an attempt for people that don't raid, or are unable to raid to take part in taking down the final villian of the expansion, just like how the LK appeared in quests whilst levelling through Northrend.

No one has even said we actually attack him, we might turn up and find him, he says 'Screw this', summons some minions and takes off.

I really hope the place will be Ulduar like, lots of different bosses, TRASH for gods sake. (ToC is so boring, as you dont have to make any kind of effort to encounter the bosses, and killing them is really mind numbingly boring and easy)

Please no more vehicle fights, and please make Lich King so hard to nobody can kill him in the first month or so. (no any normal/heroic modes, who cares about heroic mode which has nothing unique, just a bit upgrade from the faceroll normal mode)

Ok...

First thing, you are commenting on things you have not experienced yourself, which is obviously fail.

Second thing, you say "who cares about heroic mode"? Have you played PvE in Wrath of the Lich King at all? The thing is, noone cares about normal modes anymore, noone goes "yeah, world first normal Anub'Arak".

All the active raiding guilds are progressing in hardmode/heroic content, that is where the challenge is, that is what people care about.

And one more thing, since you think you know everything about WoW. You say "epics are literally thown around freely. Theyre like Blues in TBC." In TBC, freshly dinged 70's could walk around in mostly Sunwell quality gear after 3-4 weeks of heroic farming and Kara farming. The Ulduar gear which is farmable atm is comparable to SSC/TK gear tops.

Please, do everyone a favor and stop posting bull!!%@ about stuff you have no clue about.

Every 80 noob gets wellfare epic which we "struggled" to get in Farmramas and Ulduar. Currently, ToC-25 is like a piece of cake and only the HM's are quite challenging.

I am honestly against Lich King 5-man, let alone Lich King 10-man. Lich King should be like Illidan and KJ, 25-man. Not like KT in Old Naxx, with 40-man. That's a bit of overkill for less populated servers (like mine nowadays).

Seriously, why do you care if some "noob" gets some ilvl 200 epics? Go get some ilvl 258 epics and be content in the knowledge that despite the similarities in colour, anyone with half a brain can see that "welfare epics" are crap, regardless of the fact that they're purple.

I agree to a certain extent, but: He'd hardly be the first person to have alts (or mains rather, perhaps) with a slightly upgraded raiding history from his poster, a little bit too "easy" to hop on the "I check your achis" bandwagon.

So the new IC 5mans will be like sunwell Heroic? Nothing new design wise.In late TBC and esp. after sunwell released you could get BT like gear in a matter of 2 weeks of farming heroics and kara for badges and the occasional ZA.

Most people can`t grasp the idea that within an expansion pack progression the later you get top level the worse you have it unless more high end gear is available for you.

Take Vanilla for example you get 60 say in 1.9/10 patch(AQ 40 patch) .The amount of time you need to dedicate to get even "ok"-ish gear to start doing MC is mindboggeling.The only alternative was BG farming.And it was no surprise that most of the late vanilla pve guilds had a mix of ZA/aq20first-boss/bluepvp gear.And that was used to Run MC and maybe just maybe BWL.The gap between the raiding and fresh dinged people was so immence that most people didn`t even try.

I personaly am very happy that the current design makes so that if you are new/rerolled/returned to the game player you can have access to decent enough gear to leap directly to the later raid progression tears while puging the first ones.AND YES imo Naxx was maid with the assumpion it should be PuGed both on 10 and 25 man version.Why? Because it is a sort of "school" to raiding where you learn the basics of a raid.And surprise surprise the amount of PvE raiders increased dramaticly.And any blue can confirm that.

So before you mouthbreeth yet another emo post about this current topic step back and think how many of you actually saw Iladan or KJ EVER!And how many of you encountered and interacted with the Lich King and the other top bosses?Only then you will realise that what Blizz is doing is actually a revolutionary design toards the MMO-philosofy.

and heres the thing that you and many other people fail to understand...

i did not see KJ in TBC, we had only just started SWP when wotlk came out, we also only got to illidan after the 3.0 nerfs...

i am glad of this, i do not want to see the end game boss if he is a waste of time to go and see.
there is no sense of accomplishment for just faceroll pugging your way to some free epics from the end of game boss and then being pleased with yourself for it.

i would rather NEVER see the lich king and have him (and his buddies) really hard than go into IC in the first week, get to him, collect our wellfare epics and log out again.
having something hard to aim for is what keeps mmos going, if you remove all the challenge then all the decent players will leave/get bored.

someone said naxx is the school for raiding, yeah wonderful, so now we have a new breed of morons who actually have no idea what a challenging encounter is, so after they get out of faceroll-naxx and into ulduar then QQ for nerfs because it takes them more than an hour to down a boss, then the instance is ruined for all the people who enjoy a challenge.

hard modes are as well and good, but it has been said many times and ill say it again, there is nothing that compares to the thrill of downing a NEW challenging boss, downing the same boss with altered mechanics is still challenging and it is somewhat fun, but nowhere near as good as a decent challenging boss in the first place.
