I'm often interested in making PUGs for certain raids, but have no idea what each raid should consist of. If possible would somebody mind letting me know how the following raids should be set up? I know some of the raids I've listed below aren't often PUG'd, but you do see the occasional one, so it'd help if I knew how to set them up.

For example, "_______ Raid should consist of __ Healers, __ Tanks & __ DPS". Also if required for a particular raid it'd be nice to know what TYPE of Healers/Tanks/DPS are needed. Here's the ones I'd like to know for:

- VoA 10 & 25
- Onyxia 10 & 25
- OS 25
- Naxx 25
- Ulduar 10
- TotC 10

Thanks a lot in advance :)

3 healers for 10 man and 6-7 for 25 man is pretty much standard. Yeah, sure, some fight require less, but usually having 1 more healer won't wipe you.
With tanks, it's usually 2 for 10 man, 2.5 for 25(occasional fight requires 3).
But, out of encounters you listed here:
Malygos only needs 2 tanks in 25. Actually, 1 might be enough in both modes, if people don't overagro adds in phase 2. Healer wise - druids/priests prefered for Vortexes, but with current gear, people should live through them with minimal heals.
For Voa, 2 is enough, every boss. 1 good tank could be enough for Emalon, but in PuGs you could expect people to have targetting issues on Overcharge.
In Naxx, you could use 3 on Patchwerk25, other than this, 2 is enough.
Onyxia - 2. Warrior suggested for fear break in phase 3.
OS - 2.

10 man - 2 all. Yeah, you can single tank some of them, but with PuG, it might be pushing it.

Healing since level 1 - screw all the Doomsayers.

Q u o t e:

About 10-mans:

- When you get 3 healers, try to ensure you have at least one tank healer (paladin/disc priest) and one raidhealer (tree/restomoo/holy priest). You don't need one of each, but if undergeared they have better tools for dealing with heavy tank/raid damage respectively. The third healer can be either.

- When you get tanks, make sure one of them is a good AoE tank (one whose threat > avoidance). Keeping trash pulls flowing at the right pace is gold. Not going so fast your healers are struggling to keep up, but not going so slowly it's 30 minutes between pulls.

- DPSwise, you should try to get at least two ranged and two melee. Ulduar fights are unforgiving to having all your dps clumped up (either on the tank or spread out across the room).

Marveen (Tree/Kitty/Owl) - Ênani (Holy priest) - Lavigne (Holy/Prot)
Any advice contained above applies to 10-mans only!

note that most hardmodes require that you take 2 healers and no more to make the dps timer on ten man.

You don't really pug hardmodes. Plus, while 2 healers might be "needed" due to pug quality DPS, this also means that you'd have inferior tanks and healers, so 3rd would be quite busy. Lose-lose situation.

I do. if your going for hardmodes your gearshould be good for the level anyway, and pug quality dps is only as bad as the players that come, pick good ones and you'll have no problems.
