I won't be surprised if they implement the new terrain phasing system already in 3.3, and then slowly but gradually "*#!! up" the world up until the Cataclysm opening event when it gets sincerely *#!!ed up.

Arthas won't die in Icecrown. Or should I say the Lich King won't die in Icecrown, he'll most likely be seperated from Arthas.

When you think about it, how could a group of 10-25 randomers kill the most powerful entity next to the Guardian of Tirisfal.

More...there is no Kingdom of Arathi, the Kingdom is called Stromgarde and it is almost destroyed, and Danath Trollbane is NOT it's King, he's the Ruler of Honor Hold, Outland. More...Jaina Proudmoore is in Kalimdor...Kul'Tiras is south of Gilneas, Eastern Kingdoms. She rules Theramore. Her brother rules Kul'tiras.
Now, I personaly don't think the Lich King will be killed, well i don't want it :P
And I like the idea of getting Frostmourne pieces together to make a cool Axe. :D

Well as of Arthas exist or not I see Arthas/Lich King as a derivation of Anakin/Darth Vader so in some matters youre both right. While Arthas has been consumed by the Lich King entity and is the Lich King per se there is still a chance that the real Arthas could be reborn since its stil a part off, what shall I call it, Lich Kings memory or soul.

And I doubt that a bounch of randomly selected raiders has the power to kill the lich king. But there is thankfully other entites in this reallity who have that kind of powers if needed.

And one way out of this drama could be to have Arthas restored but the Lich King transferred to some one else (The stormwind king, wrynn, maybe? But that events still is to be revealed. Janeway.

Deathwing pops back up to check what the hells going on when he accidentally breaks the world. Thus everyone is forced to reroll because they're permanently stuck under the Citadel, but they die on they're new alts because Deathwings flying about trying to apologize for the Cataclysm but he keeps burning people, what with the fire breath thing. Eventually everyone will simply hide underwater forever and grow gills etc, leading to Hemet Nesingwary thinking we're fish and hunting us.

I actually liked the reroll part. (no sarcasm) After cat this should happen then make the level cap 60 ZOMGOMGOMGOGMOGM I CAME UP WITH PLAN!

We are yet to meet the Lich King in his house yet; but at the same time we have the Tauren forging a new philosophy that will lead to their paladins and priestly order based on the Sun.

We have the Highborne abroad in the world again, taking notice of the world and preaching that change is coming in Darnassus itself.

We have yet to meet in game the Dwarven shamans, Troll Druids etc.

But I'm guessing they'll make an appearance the closer we get to Icecrown, foreshadowing Cataclysm a little more. I hope so.

Was a time ago I read the book, but as I remember the last line of the book was; "There is no Lich King any longer, only Arthas the Lich King" or whatever, with the first line implying that Ner'zhuls dead/pushed back and has no control whatsoever.

That sort of ruins the concept of the Lich King character, it is so bad that it should officially thrown out of canon. However it could explain why the Lich King has been so tame lately, why we are destroying his forces with impunity and the plague of undeath are no longer spreading on any form of epidemic levels. I just got this little though around, what would happen if Deathwing gobbled up the Lich King and then transformed due to it? We would finally get a Lich King that we really have a reason to fear!
